Hey let's make Jojos Bizarre Adventure Stands.
you like jojo? you like stands? lets make stands, because i'm bored and this seems like a good use of my time
Ah cool! I've actually been trying to work on one for a few months now. I haven't seen all of Jojo though, so I'm not sure if there's already a Stand like this, but.....

Mine's called [The Lamia] (referencing the Genesis song of the same name), and it's essentially a huge serpent with a beautiful woman's head and face. It wraps around people to comfort/calm them, and basically saps them of any aggressive feelings or anger and brings on deep feelings of peace and serenity. I'm a very nurturing, non-confrontational person, so I thought this might be a good Stand for me. :)
Stand name: Chloroform Girl (it's rather on-the-nose for JoJo, I know... but if you have anything better as far as a musical reference, just let me know >.>)

Type: Automatic

Appearance: Feminine humanoids with jeweled elbows and knees, wearing Shakespearean garb. Their faces are pallid theatrical masks, with typical stand-eyes and red lipstick. An elevated ring protrudes from their shoulderblades, from which a curtain hangs to serve as a cape (able to render those inside invisible to non-stand users). Their right hands can morph into breathing masks

Ability: After the target is shown a picture of themselves, Chloroform Girl marks them, and will be able to form multiple bodies from smoke out of any crack they step on.

C.G. will attempt to restrain the target and smother them with their right hands, which emit a sedative gas. After 3 minutes of accumulated breathing, the gas will render a human-sized being unconscious, after which C.G. will drag the target in and teleport them to another crack; as near to the user as possible.

While the number of C.G. that come out of a given crack is indefinite (they will continue to form one-by-one until the crack is entirely covered by their mass), they cannot reach beyond their bodies' length from the crack, and their speed and power is only slightly above human-level.

i have so many fan stands. so i'm just gonna rapid fire em without showing stats

Doctor feelgood, Humanoid stand with scalpel fingers. ability is to heal others and the user via surgery, as well as using the scalpel fingers as slashing weapons

Under pressure: Humanoid stand, covered in terms used for measuring weight (N, KG,MG,LBS, etc) no lower body, in the middle of the chest appears to be a 7 digit counter, the stands ability is super strength and the ability to increase or decrease the weight of an object or body part up to any seven digit number in american pounds. (000000.1 to 9999999. and it can use objects as melee weapons (and the stand of my jojo character Daniel Shay Zeppeli)

life on mars, no form, but it allows the user to bring fictional characters or object into the real world for a small amount of time by pulling them out of a tv screen, the character obeys the user and has all their abilities. but the character or object has to fit through the screen to be summoned.

Ballroom Blitz: Jewel encrusted microphone, anyone who sings into BBlitz essentially gains hypnotic control over anyone and everyone in earshot....but the control only extends in making them sing and dance in the unholy lovechild of jpop idols and broadway, basically, the user becomes the music meister, stand users are resistant to it's effect. they arent under her control, but they still sing and dance to the tune of the song
This thread was bound to happen eventually.

I have a bunch of stand ideas written down but I'll choose a couple of my favs.

One stand idea is Baker Street and it's ability is that when the user drinks alcohol they activate the stand. The stand transfers the amount of alcohol in the user's bloodstream into the target the stand user chooses. So basically the stand user gets as drunk as possible then finds a person to make them as drunk as they are. The downside to the ability is that the user is still as drunk as they was before transferring the effect so each fight with the stand boils down to a drunken brawl.

Another stand idea is While My Guitar Gently Weeps and it's ability is that if the user plays a song with a certain mood then people around the stand will strongly feel the emotion of the song. So if the user plays a sad melody on a guitar then those around them will start to feel incredibly sad. This stand isn't very combat oriented but I feel it could have some fun uses.

Another stand idea is Paper Planes which allows the user to make any paper they touch as hard as iron. So they can make various weapons out of paper like those paper shurikens you'd always make in school for fun and use them to fight.

Another stand idea of mine is Pretty Tied Up which is a stand that is quick and has the ability to create bondage equipment to use to incapacitate people with. It can create handcuffs, rope, ball gags and the like to use on enemies to make them unable to fight by tying them up. Probably my kinkiest stand idea.

I enjoy thinking about stand ideas.
I'm just going to copy/paste the one I did for this thread which had the same topic.

I remember around the time the Part 3 anime was finishing up I took a shot at making my own stand, called DARE, based on the song by the Gorillaz.

It took the form of a pair of black sunglasses (based on the sunglasses on the giant head in the music video) and could be seen, touched and used by non-stand-users.

I did this long ago. XD I actually had two main Stand ideas.

The first is actually a group of three Stands, but each has 1/3 the power of a normal Stand (think kind of like Sylph from Tales of Phantasia or the Magus Sisters summon in Final Fantasy X - it's one Stand but made up of three entities). It's called Winterheart's Guild, and made up of Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and Rhapsody of Fire. Its powers are essentially fire, ice and sound-based.

The second one is a single stand named Dream Theater. It's an illusion-based stand - it works by trapping your mind in an illusionary world, sort of like Death 13 except you don't need to be asleep for it to work.
Allow me to introduce you to my stand: OVERDRIVE

OVERDRIVE manifests as a male humanoid wearing a martial arts Gi with similar appearance to Akuma's of street fighter fame, although it is red with purple ropes. its hair stands flows straight up, a'la Gon's hair when he's enraged.

as most humanoid stands, OVERDRIVE can manifest on his own, and is generally a close range stand, It has physical stats some where between Star Platinum and Crazy Diamond, though its range is only about 1 meter.

OVERDRIVE's unique ability is that it can "inhabit" objects or its user. while inhabiting the user can decide one attribute of said item to enhance, or put into overdrive. this can be as simple as the toughness of an object, or as complicated as a sharp increase to his intelligence.

However if a single object or the user inhabits OVERDRIVE for too long, the object crumbles to dust or the users body begins to break from the stress.

This Stands cry is "WORA" and is heard when it itself makes attacks or when inhabiting the user and attacking

Black Mode:User and TV would be more vurenable to more damage and skill, however it would also reflecting any kind of attack to the attacker.Banging yourself to the wall or any kind of self damage wouldnt be reflected to yourself or the object.

Gray mode:Default state,no bonus nor benefit.Perfect to dealing with equal or already known enemies.
tldr: white:user immunity
Black:reflector dmg
Grey: default.
Ayy here we GO

Stand name: Knife Party

Stand appearance: as of yet undesigned

Abilities: Knife Party is able to turn physical objects into bladed edges. While this on its own is obviously not particularly menacing as compared to many other Stands, the real threat this power poses lies in its ability to affect smaller and smaller things the more it physically harms its target. Depending on how much physical damage Knife Party deals to the thing it is attempting to wound, kill, or destroy, its power extends to smaller and smaller objects, to the point where it can turn individual molecules and even atoms en masse into blades.

It's the edgiest Stand around

(Not my personal stand, just an idea)
i'm pleasantly surprised that no one's made "absolute mind control" stands

I have one like that (although a specific, repeated condition has to be met by the target before it activates)...

I just happened to post it on a general RP forum previously, and don't really feel great about leaving a public trail between the two sites >.>
Because that is way too easy. And OP.

Here's my stand, and note, I have poor musical knowledge, so it isn't named after a song.

Sunday Papers

And strange paper doll with ever changing written text, doodles, or pictures on it.

Power : D
Speed : A
Range : S
Durability: D
Precision: A
Potential : B

spoiler

Sunday Papers is a stand the binds itself to paper (Think Iggy's The Fool but paper instead of dust). It gains complete control over the paper and can manipulate it into any shape or form possible, as when as mover the paper through the air as if flying. Further, Sunday Papers is able to somewhat alter the paper's hardness. This, combined with folding the paper several times over quickly, this stand can easily block bullets.

The user is full capable of seeing, hear, and speaking through the stand, allowing the user to take full advantage of the stands great range. It is possible for the user to bind Sunday Papers to multiple sheets of paper, but the more paper controlled limits it's range, speed, and precision.

However, Sunday Papers' most powerful ability requires the user to ask a person a riddle, which the target will be compelled to answer. Note, the riddle must be one that has a definite solution, otherwise Sunday Papers' power will not activate.

Should the target fail, they will immediately be sucked into a sheet of paper, becoming a highly detailed sketch of their self. This ability is powered by the victim's own feeling of lose, and thus they will be unable to resist or fight back against the power. While in this form, the sheet of paper the victim is on will be indestructible by any means.

Should the target successful answer the riddle, they will become immune to this power and all others captured by this power will be released.

Pretty neat, huh?

---EDIT---

Renamed Stranger Than Fiction to Sunday Papers at Skullman's suggestion. Now, I should go listen to that song.

call it "sunday papers"
Sea of Holes

Humanoid covered in spots, anime hair, and sunglasses. various neon colours that never stay consistent, because it's jojo.

You remember that one Spider-Man villain, the Spot? Yeah, totally forgot he existed. So, all the spots are interconnected. punch in one, it comes out another. Practically impossible to hit like that. The spots can be removed from the body, and thrown a reasonable distance for dumb anime fights, and stay there, only removable by the stand itself. the stand can now stick pull itself through itself into the hole, or punch into itself. However, the space where the spot was removed, is now empty, and is vulnerable to attack. As you can probably figure, the more spots removed, the more vulnerable to attack, and the stand itself isn't exactly the most durable. The spots will never fade however, so they can be used for a variety of purposes, such as simple transportation, to hidden surveillance.

this is my curse. i have great idea in my head but i cant put them into words D:

edit: maybe this splitting headache i have at the time of writing has something to do with that.
quick make hypnohub character stands that while the method of doing so may be different, the end result is invariably "Mind control"
Weird Science

Description: A stand that can utilizes various forms of electronic manipulation, and reality bending.

Power: Can bring inanimate electronics to life and command them to fight.

Requiem Power: Brings characters on screen to life with most of their personalities intact.

Conditions and restrictions: The inanimate object must be near a source of electricity to be brought to life, and will die when it's batteries die. (If it utilizes a charger, it can be easily revived. Battery operated devices have 5 minutes after removal to live. Plug devices revert to their inanimate form after being unplugged.

(Requiem conditions and restrictions don't exist.)

Weakness: Every 6th companion will betray you, and the user becomes forgetful of this fact. Reminders do not help very much. (Hypnosis does. Lol) Also, electronic companion's weak spots are very exploitable and any non-plug electronic companion that die WILL EXPLODE.
Stand Name: Poison Sun

Type: Bound Stand

Appearance: Poison Sun appears as a glowing ghostly green aura around whatever it is bound to, and is invisible to non-Stand users.

Stand Abilities: Poison Sun is a bound Stand that, once bound to an object, will slowly drain the life of anyone within a certain radius of it via its glowing aura. The more life it drains from those around it, the more powerful its aura becomes, and the greater the radius of its effect becomes. This area of effect growth is potentially infinite. Those within the Stand's range who are unaware of its existence will not realize that they are dying, even as they suffer adverse physical effects and eventually succumb to death. Those unaffected by Poison Sun's power, however, will be able to see its effects on those affected should they happen to see them while they are within its area of effect, or if they are lucky enough to stumble out.

However, the Stand can only be bound to objects of a certain size. The minimum size for something the Stand can be bound to is roughly that of a small truck. However, there is no limit to the size of what it can be bound to beyond that (entire skyscrapers, mountains, etc are fair game). Finally, the Stand user does have to be close to the object in order to bind it.

(If you guys can get this incredibly obscure music reference, kudos)

Ah... Spoon, that stand sounds a little OP if you as me...
Just found this and had to post it here

Time to throw my hat into the ring!

Stand name: Eye of the Tiger

Description: A tall, red-skinned humanoid stand with metallic rivets all along the skin, which culminate in the key points of the body, such as the knuckles, the chest and so on.

Type: Close range

Power: No pain, no gain.

Inherently speaking, Eye of the Tiger isn't a complicated stand to figure out. It's a close range brawler, much as Star Platinum, but with more of an emphasis on speed and flexibility rather than full on punching power, and the ability of the stand is two-fold: Firstly, any physical damage Eye of the Tiger does to another person(not stand) will result in the strengthening of it's user, imagine basically, the more worn down one person gets, the more adrenaline fueled and intense Eye's user gets, meaning if they want, the user can get in the action that the stand is doing.

Second of all, the rivets on Eye's body basically act as a progress meter, so the more damage the user of Eye takes, the more the bar fills up (yellow light filling the rivets) and when it's entirely full, Eye of the Tiger can release it's full potential in a rage mode, boosting it's physical attributes, strength, precision, power, to their utmost maximum.Cosmetic changes the mode conveys is that the skin of the stand turns bright gold, red light beaming out of the rivets, and a large main of spiky red hair erupting from the thing's head (imagine super saiyan 3, but with the color pallet of god)The mode has no fixed time limit, it lasts for as long as the user's stamina does, but due to its intensity, you're hardly ever going to go over a minute.

Stand Name: Hacker

Stand Type: Close-Range

Appearance: Hacker is a humanoid stand with a black-and-white color palette that wears what resembles a gimp mask, with a chain leading off of it that wraps repeatedly, albeit loosely, around the Stand's body. It is slender in build.

Abilities:

-Insanity Induction: Hacker's touch causes any sentient thing it touches to rapidly go completely insane and eventually commit suicide. This effect can only be reversed by the user undoing it or if the user is killed.

-Destructive Technopathy: Hacker's touch will also cause anything of an electronic nature to malfunction and break. This is also reversible in s similar way to its insanity power.

-Shapeshifting: Hacker can claim and "store" the identity of anyone it kills, allowing its user to shapeshift into anyone claimed by this effect for several hours at a time, with long cooldowns (the user will be fatigued and suffer nosebleeds and sickness if they try too often). However, once an identity is claimed, the user has access to it permanently, although, as stated above, they can only shift into that person temporarily, and with a cooldown.

Yoo JoJo is my shit, I had a stand idea in mind so I'll post it here. I actually drew it in the style im more comfortable drawing in.

Stand Name : The World is Yours

Namesake : The World is Yours by Nas ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FOqopkSQmx0 )

Appearance : http://imgur.com/a/nD9o6 , when using any ability the bandages unwrap revealing a almost 2D figure looking to be made entirely out of intertwining Tribal Tattoo designs

Abilities :

  • Can create graffiti in an instant, each graffiti having its own funtionality ( E.G. a door graffiti acts as a teleportation effect, water graffiti acts as liquid on the surface, a spiral graffiti can hypnotize people, etc. )
  • Has bandages that extend out and act as extra limbs. They can wrap around the user to provide some defense ( Think essentially a full body kevlar suit type thing, where it can eventually be breached with enough force )
Limitations :

  • The graffiti made by The World Is Yours has to be placed on an area where paint would normally set in ( no liquids, no slippery surfaces, etc. )
  • Graffiti can extend out of walls for an extra effect ( like creating a weapon after pulling it out from the graffiti ) but doing so reduces the power of the stand until the user takes a short rest, or the graffiti-created object is returned to its originally sprayed art
  • Graffiti meant to have a personally altering or destructive effect dissipate after 20 minutes, making them just regular graffiti tags
  • The bandages can stop simple civilian grade bullets and weapons, but things like explosives tend to push the limits and only grant minor protection.
  • The bandages can only extend about 15 feet from the user

Stand name: Fallout Boy

Description: Fallout Boy itself does not have any kind of physical form, rather its true form is that of a mass of green glowing energy that can take any shape. However it does have a human shaped armor that is decked out with a lot of nuclear radiation symbols. The shell also seems to have a few electrical sockets in it. The true form itself cannot be harmed or destroyed, however if it is in its armor and the armor is destroyed, it and the stand user will be destroyed as well. The armor's only real function is to keep Fallout Boy's radiation from spreading out of control, and is not a very reliable means of defense. However when it is outside of its armor, the armor cannot be destroyed until Fallout Boy returns to it.

Stats:
Destructive Power: A
Durability: D
Speed: C
Precision: A
Range: C
Development Potential: B

Abilities:
Fallout Boy's true form constantly produces high and dangerous amounts of nuclear radiation. The armor's chest is capable of opening up revealing Fallout Boy's true form. Any living being or environment exposed to Fallout Boy's true form for too long without any kind of protection against it will die of radiation poisoning, be reduced to a pile of ashes or even mutate. This unfortunately also includes the Stand user themselves.

Fallout Boy's armor also has openings in its palms, fingertips and mouth allowing it to shoot large or small concentrated beams of nuclear energy from them.

When it is outside its armor or when the chest is opened, Fallout Boy is capable of causing a nuclear explosion that can vary in destructive power. It's smallest explosion is still capable of taking down a large building or half a city block though. The only thing that this explosion can't destroy is its armor.

When Fallout Boy is inside its armor it is also capable of absorbing radiation from the environment or even other irradiated beings, completely ridding them of any radiation in them, making it as if they were never exposed to radiation to begin with.

The electrical sockets in the armor is capable of converting the nuclear energy into safer electricity and can charge or power up any electrical device that can plug into it.
