This makes me think more of the live action series PGSM, rather than SM Crystal. It did have Mercury go evil for a while (Act 21-28, I think?).
Actually, comparing the three parts to a summary for the ep that reveals the switch, it seems like a fairly straight adaptation of the scene. Don't know JP, so not sure about the dialogue side though. :)

Crystal is much more in line with the manga in visuals and story, so extremely doubtful, as Tux Boy was the only one turned evil in the manga's Dark Kingdom arc unless I completely missed something.
With the translations, this definitely seems like an anime style adaptation of the PGSM reveal scene, since they had wristwatch transformation items in the live action, I think, rather than the manga/anime transformation pens like used here. Other than that, the appearance and weapon for Mercury seems in line with the PGSM Dark Mercury.

Yeah that's what I thought I was thinking this nevrer happened in the manga =0 and only in the live adaptation.

Or would that be silly and unnecessary?

Since it's a reboot series, should Crystal have its own tag?
Or would that be silly and unnecessary?
Pretty much the latter. Practically every image of Crystal would have the sailor_moon_(series) tag, anyway, so it gets rather redundant.
