ah, Jin. Only saw her once or twice in avatar, but one of my most favorite characters :P I had to turn the image to black and white, in order to realize the gif. However, I appreciated the result, so I went with it.
As for what is going on exactly... I think I'll leave that to your imagination :P

There is no way this is the first Zuko pic on here...

Edit: I stand corrected.

Unfortunately I'm not sure. The suggested artist was "vhiel", but I couldn't find anything about him/her.

Oh cool. And how did you get the "tilt"? A perspective transform on all layers or something? As for the black and white thing did you get a lot of color banding? That why a lot of animators do an APNG version as well. Also GIMP's dithering options can help a lot. That being said the black and white works really well here!

The tilt was indeed something I did with some perspective transform - gimp allows to manipulate a whole group of layers, so it fastened my work :P As for the black and white... Well, I'm not what you mean by that - since I use a french version of Gimp - but it was one of the two options to adapt the main image in gif format. I had another one that kept the colors, but there was too much loss - and once I tested the B&W, i found it quite artistic :)
