I like it, but it would be better if she was submissive and he was dominant. Can someone rewrite it so that it's femsub and maledom?

I tend to lean more in that general direction but I'll have to disagree with you here. This pic makes way more sense with the story this way. Although, I'm not saying a rewrite can't prove me wrong.

What I think would improve this is a little more detail. For instance, does she have a power or were these some sort of subliminal messages used while the pov character was sleeping with a certain expression she gives used as a trigger?

She has a power that makes people have the same dream of her over and over, which gradually brainwashes them. The reason this was ambiguous is because the POV himself didn't realize what happened when he randomly passed out, which is when the power was used.

And I typically prefer femdom, but that's all opinion.
