Queen Bee's Campaign Interlude : Office Routine


Dear diary,

Kara says tomorrow is bring your Atlee to work day again. I asked her once where would the rest of her workers get their own Atlees, and she said she was planning on giving away clones of me for the holidays... I... think she was joking...


Anyway, BYATWDs are tons of fun, so I'm really excited! Last time (it was before Kara said I should start keeping a diary... she even said it was okay for me to use her computer, and save it on Satrrware's Documentation Cloud, which is really nice of her, 'cause I don't have anywhere else to put this) was definitely diary worthy... Here, let me tell you all about it!


We started the day in Kara's office. We usually do. She was going over some papers or something, and I was checking out some of her new snow-globes. Kara's got the best globes I've ever seen. I especially like some of the new ones that Mr. Bevlin made for her after she decided to hire him on a while back anyway despite how they got off on the wrong foot. I was looking at one of those when I heard Kara say something. I think it was something about pigs from guinea (doesn't make any sense to me) but I wasn't really listening at that point, because right about the time she said that, the white stuff in the snow-globe started letting off this really nice soft glow, and I was kinda busy checking it out.


It was really pretty to look at. Sort of captivating, like candle flame, or the waterfalls in Strata's SONIC, or a swinging watch form one those old movies Kara showed me while we were snuggling on her couch the other day, but it was missing something. I just knew somehow that I wasn't seeing it at its best. Then it hit me. Snow on the ground (especially nice glowy snow) was nice and all, but snow floating through the air would be even better!


So, I took up the snow-globe and gave it a little shake, and that's when things got really intense, 'cause, wouldn't you know it, I was right! It really was much better with all the glowing white flakes floating around in there! I could have just stood there for hours just turning the globe around and around, it was so pretty. Maybe I did, actually, but what I remember is that I felt as if I was floating right along with the snow in the globe, drifting this way and that on invisible currents, like the winds in winter here on the surface. It was a really pleasant feeling too, to be snow, just drifting on the wind like that... hmm... but then it started to get really warm all of a sudden, and I was a bit worried because I know what happens to snow when it gets warm. But snow doesn't worry about warmth, or argue, or fight with it. Snow just melts. So I did too.


I sort of of got it then, why snow didn't worry about melting. It felt really nice. Better than drifting on the wind, even. It was as if, being all melted, I was a part of the current now. Not just being carried by it but flowing with it in perfect synch, going were it went, wanting it wanted, and what it wanted was for me to forget about anything else. To lose myself completely in it and the wonderful warmth it offered. So I did that too.


Once I did, the current seemed to shift. It started flowing away from the globe, where the pretty white flakes were starting to settle down and their glow was starting to fade, and into a receptacle that felt a lot like the body I used to have before I was snow. It was really warm inside it, and I was glad, because that meant I could stay nice and melted, and I think the body liked that too because it felt very good as I filled it completely from top to bottom.


And then Kara said I should go over to the labs area to do some testings, and her voice was the current...


So I did.

What do you mean by "BYATWD"?

Lovely pcik, I think the best point is the facial expression of PG. Your art is improving at quite a fast pace! ;)
