I'm prepared to make a long, drawn-out argument that hypnosis through the sense of touch (thus: heat) is theoretically possible if need be. :P Consider my disbelief suspended.

Do your eyes roll around when you don't focus your gaze on something? Eye movement is controlled by muscles in the eye sockets, which I believe move together reflexively. Also, if a person is blind from birth then these muscles won't develop and their eye movement will be minimal.
