triple: oh what a choice

A, definitely. There's things going on here, and it'd be good to know them going forward.

Hello, everyone! You're probably wondering why I suddenly stopped posting. Basically, depression hit me hard and left me very worn out for a while. Then, the idea to make this came to me. An RPG-based Interactive story in manips.

It works like this: Each week, a new part of the story will be posted. Everyone will vote on what response our character will make during the week. For this week, you will choose between response A, B, and C. The result of the response will be posted here. I will update this comment when all of the votes for the responses have been tallied. I'll handle what your actions do to you and do my best to keep things interesting.

Since we've just started this, would you like to decide what our character looks like? If so, leave a description. I hope you enjoy the story as it unfolds. This is only going to be uploaded here. leave your votes, descriptions, and comments below. I'll be reading all of them.

You: So, you have to answer honestly?

?: Yes, I do. You may ask me anything.

You: Okay. Who are you?

Melanine: My queen calls me "Slave #42"; however, you may call me "Melanine". I'm your designated servant for now.

You: So, where am I? What am I doing here?

Melanine: You're in the trial house. You tried to escape our queen a few days ago during resting hours. The council wanted to have you put through another brainwashing session because of your resistant nature; but, our queen decided to put you though the Trials of Lust instead to see if you truly want your freedom.

You: Trials of Lust?

Melanine: The Trials of Lust is a true test of willpower and chastity. You have to make it to the queen's living quarters without going under the spell of one of the many creatures in her forest. They're very provocative and can put you into a trance if you're not careful.

You: So, what happens if I fail?

Melanine: You'll be put through a rigorous brainwashing session like the others.

You: Oh. Right. What happens if I make it to where she lives?

Melanine: You have to make it through one last test in front of her council. Sadly, No one's ever made it past that point.

You: I wonder why.....

Melanine: Her and the council are very persuasive.

You: When do I go through the trials?

Melanine: Today. I'm supposed to go to the hostess when you're done with me.

You: What do you mean by that?

Melanine: Normally, people who go through the trials have sex with their designated servant before they go about to go through the trials.

You: Well, I'll have to decline the sex. Can't let my lust run loose. Tell the hostess I'm ready, Melanine.

Melanine: Okay then. I'll let her know you're ready.

At the risk of sounding boring... my natural, first reaction would be to ask questions.

….and then jump right into the sex. I mean, come on. Sexy neko who is obviously hypnotized in some way.

slight mention of the catgirl seeming "distant" but that's not much to go on. she could just be distracted, or comtemplating why her queen told her to sit half naked in bed with [insert name here] for when they wake up.
It's not explicitly mind control or hypnosis, and for all we know, she'd just distracted by something else.

I didn't want to give away what was going on with her just yet. I needed to be as subtle as I could. Everything will be explained when the time comes.

Also, considering the character is still gender-neutral, might I perchance nominate their gender be female? I'd even go so far as to vote female neko much like the one in bed with them, perhaps even former male transformed female neko, but the last desire I have is to ruin the story for anyone else, so I simply keep this a suggestion/nomination until further input from others is given.

Unpopular as it seems to be, my choice would be B. Knowing who you're talking to is a good way to figure out what to ask...not to mention getting them to possibly open up more.

"A" could lead to the result of B (partially) in the process (like she explain that she is an hypnoslave etc so you can't really get to know her better anyway)

ABC: Ask questions, focusing on her and our situation, finding out why we're here, why and by whom I've been offered an obedient catgirl, how obedient she is and why, and what she's into sexually. Including questions like "what would you do if I asked you to take off your clothes?", "would you enjoy it if I told you to play with yourself while we talk?", "what would you like me to order you to do?", and "what would you do to me if our positions were reversed?" Those questions can give some useful insights into her state of mind, find out more info on her, and lead into more enjoyable sexy fun times.

For example, if she responds to "what would you do if I asked you to take off your clothes?" by taking off her clothes (which I didn't technically order her to do), that suggests that she's either eager to get naked, or her ability to interpret commands is somewhat limited.

Fact #4: You have no idea where you are, or what direction would be safe to run to, so running blindly doesn't sound like a good idea.

Anyways, just my two cents, but perhaps the next manip's decision would be better handled with a strawpoll for base voting, while leaving the comments for those who wish to elaborate and discuss? Don't get me wrong, if this works for you then by all means stick with it. I'm just thinking that it might clean the comments on the next one up quite a bit to go with a strawpoll.

It seems it might be a Female neko since plenty of people want one. As for Strawpoll, I'll most likely do that next time.

Read the story and I think it might be a good idea to make it like a choose your own adventure with all the possibilities and hyperlinks leading to the outcome of each choice. Anybody else agree?
