usually I don't comment but here's what I'll say for now, on this string of images I've seen people talk about the sexuality change, in mostly a negitive way (not trying to be critical here mind you, but having sentences with words like "taboo" and "wrong" such as it is.) as I said before I usualy keep my nose out of it, but as an observation, I've seen artists making the "subjects" of the art from straight to gay; having little problem with this myself I recognize that it is some people's preffrence and move on. on the other hand here is an example of the visa versa (and in both examples I've found insults of equil magnitude if that's the case). and I find myself confused, am I missing this much because I'm not being a native speaker or is this culture? if it is culture then congrats to the artist! if it's just me then I wouldn't mind some help understanding. thank you in advance!
Alright, just because you seem legitimately confused, I'll clarify for you. Please, no one try to make an argument out of this.
Basically, here in the US (and in other nations, I'm sure, though I can't speak for those), there are religious groups that push something called "gay conversion therapy". The point of this "therapy" is essentially to "cure" someone of being gay. Some strongly religious people send their homosexual or bisexual family members to these camps. At these camps, the "patients" (I'm really sorry for all the quotation marks in this reply) are constantly told that being gay is wrong, that they are broken, that they must be fixed, etc, etc. Some are subjected to more than just emotional abuse. These types of programs have led many people who were forced to attend them to commit suicide. Others were left with deep emotional scars and, of course, still gay. Sadly, this therapy is still practiced in some places.
In short, the reason why you see so many people upset over this and not the reverse is because there is no "straight conversion therapy". There's no one sending straight people to camps to make them gay, but there ARE straight people sending gay people to camps to make them straight.

well then I steped into a bucket of worms didn't I? (besides learning new vocabulary) LOL
thanks for the help! even if it did put you out there (because it sounds like a rather large unsalved problem), I'm truly in appreciation! (and hope to see you have equil mercy to those who are ignorant such as I, as i silently watch, edit tags, and laugh at the sarcasm that drips from the comments more often than not...)
in best regards,
mis.deepthaughts
*edit not sarcasm; genuineness* (this is why us non native speakers need a thesaurus per person) *insert embarrassed face here*

Whoa. A civil and respectful response to someone regarding a touchy subject? No drama or accusations or haughty and defensive diatribes, straw-manning, or stubbornly stonewalled, politically slanted shade-throwing?
What happened to Hypnohub and where did this new site come from in it's place???
But no really, in all seriousness, wow. This is a really nice change of pace for once. Me likey. Man, if only every conversation could go this way, it would be like Christmas every day.

well, thank you! though I'm often respectful, almost to a fault, it's due to my job, (and knowing where l'm saying this I'll get a lot of attention that I'll most likely need a dictionary for...) you see I'm a maid
