And then the Inquisitor accidentally opened a rift.

Somebody has to explain to me how this isn't mind control because I don't know anything about Dragon Age.

I thought he was using magic on her to get her to do stuff. Is that not what's happening here?

I don't know the game either but that's what it looks like to me.

Nah, the thing on his hand allows him to open and close rifts to the Fade, the dream dimension in Dragon Age. The only kind of in-universe mind control is blood magic, and that needs, well, blood.

Seems like a point of contention to me. I get that it's a visual signifier for that particular spell in-universe, but it's also just a general magic indicator for most people.

Does that character just go around all day with his magic hand glowing? And a dream dimension seems pretty mind controlly to me. Is she just an illusion then? Some kind of dream hallucination? Maybe he's using the dream dimension to control her?

I'd like some form of commissioner or artist confirmation that it isn't mind control of some kind.

All the visual cues for our fetish are there, there isn't anything really contradicting that it is mind control apart from a bit of context.

And from what I understand, the girl in the picture is a lesbian and this is outside of her normal behavior.

If it wasn't for the fact that the color of the magic was green, which I assume is why you think it's the Fade magic going on here, this whole picture would be permissible and presumable as mind control.

I'll let the moderator judge, but my case is that unless some creator source states that it isn't mind control, the gesture, the character, and the visuals all lead to the conclusion of mind control, even for somebody who isn't vested in our fetish and with an actual desire for this scene to be portraying mind control.

But again, I could be absolutely and completely wrong. I'm open to that. I just don't want to see this picture thrown out on a technicality of effects color.

The female character here is Sera (she's also decidedly less than 'attractive'), whom is only a romance option for a female Inquisitor in Dragon Age: Inquisition. The fact that she's about to perform a blowjob on a male Inquisitor therefore implies that she is under some form of mind control.

Actually, yes. Which really is the only issue here, given this:

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and ask, did the original source of the artwork intend for this to be a Hypno/mind control picture? While the sexual orientation is known to some, so it might appear that the female is under a trance maybe, but without context, this picture doesn't really show any "mind control". Yeah, he has a glowy hand. Am I supposed to take that as the magic affecting her because it doesn't look like it? For those who didn't know she was a lesbian, does she look like she's been affected by the hand at all? It just looks like the hand is just... "there". It doesn't look like it's doing anything to the subject.

If it matters, I don't know if it's outright mind control... But I have come back to this pic time and time again believing it was. AWMBH isn't alone in thinking it.
