What IS the deal with these fidget spinner things?
Ever used to click with your pen when you're bored? I think they're some kind of alternative for the pen.....and you can hypnotize people if you put a spiral on top

Pretty much. I've got one on my desk and it's just the latest in a long line of stuff to fidget with. Like rubix cube's and multi tools etc. Some people just like having something to do with their hands

What IS the deal with these fidget spinner things?
If you mean why are they all over the internet now? Well there is a long tradition of, every time there is some stupid new thing that the kids are into you'll have people talking about how this latest trend is not like every other ephemeral and silly trend but is so uniquely stupid that it will surely amount to the end of civilization. When people started writing articles about how uniquely stupid and awful fidget spinners are internet posters responded by meme-ing the fuck out of it. So they're everywhere not just because they're the latest thing that the damn kids are into but also because they're a new thing to meme about.
[spoiler]Actually, it is the persistent trend to meme the fuck out of every new thing that appears on the internet that will lead to the end of civilization.
