Chris Claremont never met a mind control kink he didn't like, and *he* called out that piece of crap.
A guy named Marcus mind-controls Carol Danvers and impregnates her with himself, then erases her memory of it. She gives birth to a rapidly growing baby, they begin having sex once he's old enough, and in the end Carol leaves with her lover/son/rapist while the Avengers wave goodbye.

This is all treated as very romantic.
Don't forget the fact that literally EVERYONE is acting out of character in that issue, the bizarre things happening while the "boy" is growing up, and the fact that NOBODY IS QUESTIONING ANYTHING ABOUT CAROL AND HER PREGNANCY AT ALL. Also, it's an anniversary issue, so it SHOULD'VE had SOMETHING good in it, but NOPE.
