Looking at the series, there really isn't much context to be had. The series seems to be a 4-koma slice-of-life-type comic. Except set in a bizarre, almost Lovecraftian world. There's all sorts of weird people and monsters in it. "Brad" is just one of the strange inhabitants. He never shows up before this, and most likely never shows up again. Also, the final panel is portraying Aria's tentacle creature friend, Gug, rescuing her by throwing Brad out a fucking window.
