Reading the tweet, I'm afraid they could be suffering of impostor syndrome because Valvalis sketches are really good.
I hope some people could help them to understand the high quality on these sketches and make them feel better, but I know is hard to escape of that feeling.

I'd argue "We should respect the artist's wishes" and "The artist has an unrealistic standard for themself" are not mutually exclusive viewpoints.

Amen to that. I lost count of the amount of times I had to give Eroborne pep talk to stop flagellating himself. Makes sense that kinda mindset produces powerhouses like these two, though.

If the sketches Are removed, it should be to stay consistent. Artist asks, artists gets. Maybe done explicitly under protest, so we do not support a self-destructive habit.

I don't know how one would "protest," and it's generally a bad idea to publicly invalidate someone's feelings, even if those feelings are unfounded.

I think something like 'hey, this is HypnoHubStaffMember here, we removed your sketches like you asked. We want you to know the community thinks they are great though! Don't be too hard on yourself' would not go amiss.
