I can't pinpoint with exact accuracy what gave me my hypnokink but the first i saw a character getting hypnotized was when i was watching jabberjaw, man that episode where they get brainwashed by that machine really altered my brain chemistry, but what REALLY got me thinking for weeks was an episode of i am franky where franky gets hacked
For me, it was definitely Winx's Club. Dark Bloom is just too sexy. Also that one scooby-doo movie about a school of monster girls that get hypnotized.
I have a somewhat unique origin. When I was really young I had a babysitter come over fairly often and when she did, we would always play the "hypnosis game". She would take a keychain attached to a lanyard and swing it back and forth in front of my eyes doing the whole "you are getting sleepy, you will obey my every command" spiel, and once I was "under" she would have me perform some mundane tasks, then after waking me up I would do the same to her...sure enough I ended up as a switch and hypnotist in my adult years with an attraction to swinging objects as the induction tool.
Another bonus was when my young 20 something hot teach read A Wrinkle in Time to us in grade school, and she kind of acted out the scenes a bit so when she got to the lengthy hypnosis scene I was enjoying it waaaaay too much, I think she even paused and asked us "what do you think it feels like to be hypnotized?" so we had a bit of a class discussion on it.
Beyond that pokemon had some classic hypnosis moments as well as discovering Jungle Book.

I can't remember the exact moment where I developed a hypnokink, however I think I do remember what really sent me down the hypno rabbit hole.
When I was younger, I had found a youtube channel that had "hypnosis battles" between 2 animated characters. I think one was Ariel vs Katara? Anyways. There were a few, but that's the only one I remember visually.
Unfortunately, I can't find it at all now, so I'm sure it's been deleted.
But from what I remember, that was how I really spiralled into my hypno journey. :D

The Demiurge itself willed it into existence.
Years ago I saw pewdiepie's playthrough of beyond two souls and there's sections where you possess others and their eyes roll back. I think I got interested at this interaction but if there was anything it was latent.
Then I got interested in sleepwalking stuff and the unfocused eyes during sleep, then mannequins, then finally hypnosis.

As with other people here, I ended up realizing I had a vested interest in hypnosis with hindsight. I saw the usual cartoons, but nothing really did spark it. Things like the Jungle Book and Teen Titans were just regular movies and episodes to me.
When I found out that hypnosis was an actual thing that therapists and medical professionals used, that's when my curiosity was piqued.
It was years later when I realized my first reaction to hypnosis was in a cartoon called Planet Sketch with that stupid hypno dog. I hated the show, but it did plant that seed of curiosity.

There were a series of books I read as a kid that were all themed around the boardgame Clue, with mysteries/riddles to solve (think Encyclopedia Brown or 2 Minute Mysteries). Each of those scenarios varied wildly, but this one was about one of the guests hypnotizing Mrs White to get her to steal something from the mansion, and I remember rereading that chapter so much, that at some point I started looking up further hypnosis content, and the rest is history.
I was super into reading classic science fiction when I was a kid/teenager, so there were definitely a bunch of short stories/books that could've planted the seed (I remember being super scared of it, to the point where I never finished at least one book because of the spoOoky mind control).
Later on, Heinlein's I Will Fear No Evil (where an elderly billionaire has his brain transplanted into the comatose body of his hot secretary after she gets into an accident) got me onto the idea of gender stuff/possession as a kink, which eventually lead to me realizing that I think feminization stuff is pretty hot.

It kinda stemed out of my transformation fetish (which, really is the root for most if not all my miriad fetishes). I was young and had a pretty high and increasingly sexual intrest in transformstion. At the same time I started developing a(n initally) much more innocent intrest in hypnosis. Then I found out that a common trick with hypnosis is making people think they are and behave like animals. So I looked it up and found an amazing video (that I, unfortunately, can't find anymore) of two girls being hypnotized into thinking they were chickens. As it went on I started getting horny and I started masturbating. The rest, as they say, is history.
I thought I didn't have mind control fascination when I was younger but think back I definitely did. I remember being interested by the possession mechanics in Beyond two souls and in the story of tomb raider, so there's that.
Mine manifested when I was really young (like somewhere from four to five.) It was a piece of elsagate (look it up) that looked like it was a clip from Moana. My grandma played it for me, thinking it was fine, then I was watching Moana get her clothes ripped off her by vines and was hypnotized. From there, it kinda grew, yk Star Wars (dont ask) Jungle Book. So now I have an obsession with tentacles and Kaa.
Yay.
Yay.

It makes me feel old and I'm probably around the same age as the other guy.
I blame the Shanti scene in Jungle Book 2, Totally Spies, that scene from Sleeping Beauty where Aurora goes up the tower kinda entranced by Maleficent and various hypnosis scenes in anime, specially Sailor Moon. Those hit somethin within me. Then puberty striked, that something became sexual arousal and here I am.
