If we had the sort of attention paid to the site by the owners that allows for changes in the code, we would just have had the ban feature fixed two weeks ago, and none of this would be an issue.

We are arriving at a point where even basic security is allowed to crumble into dust< - >

The spambots are one thing. Once we get a human user whose ban does not go through, they could go on a warpath and we could do diddly squat about it.

HypnoHub is an old, trembling crone, and Detour's Userscript is her life support.

... I'd volunteer if it means getting the fix built and deployed faster.

Please don't.

Not the least because, well...I am trying to curb my anger issues, and I don't know SlayerDuck personally.

So purely, logically speculating, based the state the site is in, I have to assume he does what little maintenance we get out of some begrudging obligation.

If the spambots do not move him to act, fully knowing a human could abuse the same thing, I doubt your protest rampage would help.

Currently, Slayerduck's Patreon sits at around US$490/month, and the last post is almost exactly 7 years old.

I don't have enough experience as a homelabber to fully appreciate the scope of what's going on, but I do understand if there has become a lack of funds or passion to support the booru project. Either way, I feel like it's a sign of responsibility to at least show where the money is going.

His twitter is more active.

He recently sued Google for a short bit over messing with the boorus in the search results before Google thought better of it. He is doing Things, and I'd argue good things.

I'm much more upset by what he isn't doing.

Over the years my resentment towards "da big guy" for not taking much care of this site has built up T-T

I feel now like hhub has lost its roots and sight of the reason it was made in the first place, but maybe that's just nostalgia speaking ^^'

Realistically hhub must cost what, 150-200 dollars a month? That's what I'd expect for a booru of this size. Not that I can know because there's no transparency.

Rule34 on the other hand is the true thing punching a hole in his wallet, and I get the feeling he uses this site to pay for that >:0

Eh, I have a feeling talking about this might lead to this thread being locked, but it's not like they can ban me without fixing the problem lol ^^'

Still, I'd rather have a dying hypnohub than no hypnohub. But I keep wondering, if this site were to die, would another take its place? Would that be a good thing? I have no idea >.>

hypnohub.net/index.php?pa...rofile&uname=Sonia009

This user, Sonia009, registers as "banned", yet they are able to continue posting spam comments? What is going on with them?

Late to the party I see!

Sites bugged is what's going on!>3

Some bans just do not go through! And the owner is not interested in fixing it.
