What types of mind control would work as Mega Man weapons?
For some reason, I had an idea of a Mega Man-esque game that's based on this website. Instead of regular robot masters, the bosses are characters that the site has covered. And of course the player gets a weapon based on their ability. Normally I would keep this to myself, but I can't come up with more "masters" and abilities, so I would like to hear of some suggestions on bosses, and what their weapons should be. I might be limiting myself by coming up with copies of other Mega Man weapons, so feel free to suggest any new weapons. They don't have to be based on an IP, I'm open to anything.

Here are two ideas based on my time on Hypnohub:
- Pierrot (from Hell Teacher Nube) gives you the Jester outfit as well as the ability to throw ninja stars. It would work the same as Metal Blade from MM2.
- Astarte (from Castlevania) gives you her Temptation ability. Idk if it should work like Leaf Shield from MM2 or it would be a projectile like in the original game. Either way, it would stun enemies and you can grab the heart over their heads for health. I also don't have a idea for an outfit (besides the obvious).

Here's the only non-MM idea I had:
- M. Bison (from Street Fighter) gives you the Shadaloo Doll outfit. Instead of a normal MM attack, you can do Cammy's Spiral Arrow. I don't have an idea for a protagonist, but a male counterpart could dress as M. Bison himself and do his Psycho Crusher move.

Full disclosure: I'm not making a game or anything, but if anyone wants to turn this into a real thing, they're welcome to try.

I was immediately reminded of AWMBH/PolManning's "Ray Gun That Hypnotizes Superheroines to Make Them Fly Topless While Saying 'Whee!'" because that's basically a Gravity Man thing.

That terrible Megaman cartoon a few years ago actually had a Robot Master called Hypnowoman (great character in a bad show). Her weapon was floating smiley faces that entranced anyone they touched. I could see it as an orbiting type of weapon.

I remember Megaman acquired that weapon and in a different episode accidentally used it without knowing he was using it to hypnotize people into agreeing with him.

A Kaa launcher, with a cyber snake coming out and coiling around the victim and hypnotizing it.
A saimin app giant smartphone weapon: serve as a shield. If the enemy hit it with a projectile, it start the saimin app and hypnotize nearby enemies.
Could also have been a platform, that hypnotize enemies touching it.

Is that the kind of things you're looking for?

Scarlet Melody- A flashlight corrupted by the assimilating light from Crimson Lullaby. Holding down the attack button produces a short cone of red light that deals continuous damage to all enemies in range. Other light sources exposed to it begin to produce the same effect. Enemies defeated by this light transform into drones and attack unconverted enemies. (For balance purposes, drones cannot produce the light themselves.)

Elven Spiral- A swirling magical orb just like the one from Spiral Clicker. Controls the same as the Black Hole Bomb from Mega Man 9. Rapidly press the attack button after detonating to increase duration.

Remote Controllers- Summons a Z-Tech helmet outfitted with a helicopter propeller above the players current location. The helmet flies forward and drops down on the first enemy that passes beneath it, attempting to lock itself onto their head.

I like these ideas. I don't know what some of these are, but the explanations help. At first, I only thought of characters and their abilities, but now I'm curious about more gadgets that are on the site.

I want to retrun to this thread to add a couple more ideas I had:
- Phanto (Super Mario Bros. 2): The player wears a Phanto mask, and another phanto swarms the screen. Phanto's flight path is random in its original game, but it's still threatening.
- Vampire (...a vampire): Imagine Alucard from Castlevania 3. You can slash or bite enemies (I don't know if vampirism should be included) as well as turn into a bat and fly.

Some kind of spirit/parasite weapon that lets you possess enemies. A classic of video game mind control.

I remember alot of the ruby spears cartoon had mindcontrol as a plot, The park episode with guts man's ass meme and the lion one where roll gets reprogrammed was kind of hot,

A weapon could be similar to MM4 bright man's weapons were instead of crashing bots with intense light you reprogram them

Two more ideas
Seeing magician posts on here gave me an idea of a Magician powerup:
- The player is dress as a magician (top hat, tuxedo, coattail or cape).
- They shoot magic from a wand.
- Targets hit by said magic are affected by catalepsy.
- Targets can now be used as platforms.

My other idea is less realized aesthetically, but I still want to share.
A mannequin/puppet master powerup:
- The Player is dressed like a wooden drawing mannequin or a wooden puppet.
- The power activates like Flash Man's from Mega Man 2.
- Every target on screen is affected and now mimics the player's movement.

I could see a classic hypno ray, one that shoots a chip or something onto the subject putting them under his control and maybe one that allows him to control machines he's touching.

Mega Man: Dual Override announcement and Robot Master Design Contest
At The Game Awards, Capcom announced a new Mega Man game. But Mega Man isn't the only one returning. Capcom is now accepting designs for robot masters. It sucks the contest is contained to X, but it's cool for them to bring back the tradition.
I hope to see hypno-related robot masters in the coming weeks.

From what I know, the contest require to design a robot master with sucking powers (a vacuum cleaner basically) in mind.
