Was looking for some research on a picture I'm making that involves the method and found there isn't a lot of it out there.

I personally fancy the idea of placing a dancer in a mirror room and them getting hypnotized by the infinite reflections of their own dancing

I'm a fan of what I'm gonna call extrasensory inductions.

Like, a clairvoyant character has a vision of someone trying to hypnotize her in the future, which causes her to fall into a trance in the present.

Or a telepath reading someone else's memories of being brainwashed and being affected as if they were her own.

If we're talking Hypnosis, i Definitely enjoy talking to the subject as if they're a Computer. Like "Access this memory" or "You will do these series of commands". It's not really explored here but I love it.

I once had an idea for a story based on people encountering cameras for the first time and thinking it would steal their soul.
You could call it an SCP. An old Polaroid camera that DOES steal the soul of however is photographed an seals it in the picture the camera spits out. The victim is left with a body and mind, but without a soul, they have no will to use either. They exhibit symptoms akin to severe depression.. until the person currently holding their soul photo gives a command.

In my case I'd say hypnotic gas, mind altering viruses, contagious curses, hypnotic trend, society manipulation. Especially if it makes one or more characters behave in an abnormal or goofy way and if it gives them weird obsessions (possibly fetishes).

Stuffed animals and teddy bears, whether it is hypnotic eyes, a voicebox inside, or even the fur laced with something but I love the idea of a stuffed animal being used as a focus or device for hypnosis.

I think I remember that being the plot of an episode of the Kirby anime. The voicebox one.
