You're absolutely right that there's barely any forms of hypnosis/brainwashing that deal with colored contacts.

I've found you'll most often see it in certain JAV series, like you included above. Outside of that I've only really seen it employed in works made in COM3D2 or Koikatsu but those aren't so much contacts as they are just changing the target's eyes in some form. A few of Steve steele's (MCStashouse) videos had spiral contacts in them...Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

Yah I know, right? The only material that would vaguely resembles what I have in mind is the first one on my list from Dumbtime, and it was only for the post-process of the brainwashing also, not the main tool of the process. Still, it shows the eyes' color change quite perfectly, which is the hot part in my opinion.

What I really want to see is a long process of those hypno-contacts used in the victim daily life, though. Imagine, an office worker working normally on her desk, communicating with others like nothing's going on, but in truth what she actually sees are layers of waves (colorful or monochrome or spirally...) before the real scenery, like she constantly sees the world behind a filter. This could be depicted just like how Shalltear from Overlord got brainwashed in Season 1 Ep10, there's a scene shows how she view the world behind a foggy yellowish layer.

The girl will be constantly under hypnosis process without her knowing, she is made to not notice those layers before her eyes, but her subconscious slavedoll persona would be built continuously.

When she got triggered, the contacts would then change color or iris shape (maybe this is actually gel-like machine not just some contacts), turns her into a doll with totally different eyes.

The thing with JAVs, especially the kind you're looking at with Room Barrier and similar, is that their primary purpose is to be porn. The hypnosis aspects are a fetish add-on and yes while they serve to attract those with that specific fetish, in the end it's still for the purpose of having sex. They don't really dwell on the hypnosis part too much because that's not the "content" that it's being made for. I think you're more likely to find what you're looking for in either dedicated hypno-fetish works (that aren't only to enable porn) or "normal" content like anime, TV shows, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if hypnosis contacts have been a plot point or part of a monster of the week episode in some TV show, especially one of the Japanese sentai-like shows. The problem is actually finding them...

I adore the idea of having the victim's eyes be somehow forcibly redirected to a constant hypnotic stream, hence why I love the eye beam tag.
