Language/fad manipulation
Hello! I was curious to know if any of you knew scenes from any media where something happens (gas, virus, hypnotic fad, pheromones, mind control, brainwashing, spell, reality warping etc ...) that makes characters speak in an abnormal way. Example: they do mistakes (instead of "impossible" they say "possibleim" or "ffidicult" instead of "difficult"), they gain an accent, they become obsessed by the idea of pronouncing certain words. They say things they wouldn't say normally. Or for some reason, a word or a way of speaking becomes ultra popular due to a fad etc ...
If I oculd provide examples, there is:
ep 20 E (E because eps of that are divided into 5 mini eps and htis is the 5th and final part of the ep) of Saiki Kusuo no psi-nan. The world is reality warped by the author and outside of the MC, everyone is obsessed by the idea of pronouncing number 100 as often as possible and the entire society is about number 100 (this is the 100th mini episode).
In an episode of Keroro gunsou on a beach, Natsumi is altered by something that makes her grow physically so she becomes an "adult" and can watch for the rest of the group without her mom when they go to the beach. But it also alters the way she speaks and she constantly tells old men jokes (jokes pronounced by old men). Later in the episode, she is affected by something else that makes her obsessed by the idea of saying american jokes.
I think it's ep 13 not sure.
In ep 27 of battle spirit: Shonen toppa bashin, an idol girl (and later almost all of her friends) is mind altered into being obsessed by rap culture and by the idea of becoming a rapper because of an evil rapper's hypnotic rap. It also makes her obsessed by the idea of speaking only by rapping (same goes for her altered friends who can't/don't want to speak normally).
There is a yokai in yokai watch (a bear) that makes people obsessed by the idea of telling random smart things.
Later, that yokai was affected by a yokai that makes people stupid so that yokai started to make people obsessed by the idea of saying random gross/stupid things
