The Fate Series Mind Controller List
Or: Mushroom Man's Definitely Into This
Type-Moon properties are teeming with people who could do terrible things to your mind. Thick as the story can be, people often do not know how or why the mind control happens.
I've written a collage to rectify that. Follow the link for the current list: docs.google.com/document/...zsoQROdo/edit?usp=sharing
This is a living document. Right now, it only has the ones I could write up in one sitting. I'll add more characters to it as I have the time, or people point out those I missed. Feel free to pile 'em in!
I've tried to keep it newbie friendly, avoiding most in-universe jargon like Singularities, Saint Graphs, types of magic etc. The purpose of this is to give context, and get people excited about drawing, writing and/or generating Fate zonks - authenticity is nice, though, so please look into the lore to taste.
Read on, I hope you enjoy it!
Characters are listed by physical sex, rank and name, in that order.
How Ranks Work
Abilities are ranked based on Fate's system.
- Ranks go from E to A.
- A + sign means the abilities is situationally twice as effective; multiple plus signs are additive(so two means triple, three means quadruple, and so on).
- A - sign denotes some kind of penalty, or just being on the low end of the given rank.
- EX rank abilities are so powerful by human standards that measuring or comparing them is pointless.
- The rare * rank abilities cannot be measured or understood by a human in a meaningful way. It could be strong, weak, anything in between or fluid, but you won't be able to comprehend how any of that works.
- Noble phantasms (marked as NP - think of them as their Ultimates) are about two steps more powerful than non-NP abilities of the same rank.
- ? marks are used to denote when the rank is not known or stated anywhere.
