I don't want to say because I don't want to offend anyone. In that same vein, I'm not sure how long this thread will remain open, as it may spark some discussion.

I will say that I tend to blacklist more Western-style artists, since the "Western" tag is basically pointless.

The biggest ones for me are probably issue_69, nyuu_(manekin-eko) and blueballs, don't have any issue with them, I just don't like their content.

artifact_the_fox (he is credited as the writer, so he counts, in my eyes), glowhorn.

Reason? As Detour above me said:

I mean. we have indirect word of mod this is okay, via Detour. So

I got dragon222 blacklisted.

The cheapo, abstract cartoon style doesn't do anything for me. I get the feeling they are for people who had Fairly Oddparents or Phineas and Ferb or whatnot as their sexual awakening.

Patar231 and thehypnopotamus are blacklisted too. They're doing, AI generated 3d furries with massively exaggerated assets as their thing. And I can enjoy, or at least tolerate, all of those things, but, not all of them put together. It's like a smoothie but every ingredient is an artificial sweetener.

and finally, temperancedraws, which is... hard to Explain, I feel?

If they were just practicing, and that is why they draw people with off proportions and weird, mispositioned eyes, it would be one thing. IDpet was like that, for instance, but they're pretty good now, I'd feel like I'd be missing out. That just takes a little patience.

But with how much this artist had frawn, it feels like an intentional style choice at this point.
Which I do not even understand, like, what's the demographic for that? Let alone begin to enjoy it.

I think it's rude to have a thread about artists on personal blacklists.

Yeah it is. So? o.oc

It's not exactly a toxic cesspit, is it? Being Mildly Unkind is fine.

Just remember that mild part and you're golden.

Don't think I've ever blocked an artist. If I don't like what they draw it'd probably be covered by the more general content tags and even if I don't like their style or don't think they're that good I wouldn't want to block them. They might improve or change their style!

I've blocked certain tags, but not specific artists. Like others, I figure an artist might someday do something new and different.

Too many to name, but most of the AI artists (Cause I have "AI_art" as a tag) and a few of the really...I'm sorry to say this cause it sounds really disgusting: Bad artists.

I think the problem will start when someone mention an active artist in the site with a comment rude about them, then the artist could get angry or sad with the comment. For now people talk about doujin artist or try to avoid give certain names, but that could becomme something rude soon or later.

Yeah, honestly, I think if you do have any artists that are blacklisted, just say "Yes, I do. I am going to be respectful and not say their name"

Sure they could o.oc

I'm realizing there might be a cultural element at play here, with how many of you are going 'but it's Mean'. Yeah, dude. We're mean creatures. And I don't just mean humans in general, I mean Us, who congregate with our shared interest in taking someone's brain and scrubbing it with industrial cleaner.

"But I wouldn't Do-'

I should hope not, and also, how would you?

But you are Thinking it. And that's cool, so is everyone else, in some way, sometimes.

It's better to let it out in a civil and controlled way than any alternative I know. The standard you should hold yourself to is not Mr Rogers. That's aspirational at best.

And you are not going to tell me you live in such a paradise where the mere notion of Mean Thoughts had been purged from your psyche. I played Wild Hypno Town.
When you have 'em, say 'em.

basically this. it's rude to talk about someone who's listening

My mama taught me people who don't tell you when you are full o shit to your face are doing it behind your back.

I didn't believe her at first but she's never been wrong.
