Have you ever been sedated or put under anesthesia? Did it scratch that hypno itch? (Stories welcome!)
When I was a kid, I was forcibly sedated ahead of a minor surgery, because I was struggling too much and trying to escape. Now, as an adult with a hypno fetish, I can say that was one of the most important formative experiences of my life.

Being drugged is much closer to being under mind control than actual real-life hypnosis is. I can say from firsthand experience that even if you're fighting to resist like your life depends on it, you will be rendered docile and suggestible within moments. There is no resisting. You even get a mysterious gap in your memory afterwards, and a period where you're all loopy and dizzy. I've never felt so utterly dominated, before or since.

It's a shame I hadn't yet developed the fetish to *appreciate* the experience, instead it was just scary and violating at the time. But who knows, maybe I only developed a hypno fetish as some kind of response to that. I'd really be interested to know if anyone else on here has the same thoughts about anesthesia, and of course I'd love to read any recountings of your own experiences with it.

...Sure I've been under anesthesia. And had the fetish then, too.

It is memorable. I do remember how it knocked me out while I was still trying to talk.

I just don't feel like the environment where that sort of things happens to people is Conductive to eroticism.< - >

At the very least you are going to be examined somewhere where it is hard or dangerous to look while you can move around. Most of the time it's for surgery. And sneaking anesthetics on the side is not exactly legal? For a very good reason, too?

Either we are committing stupid crimes, or we are popping an erection under the surgical gown and weirding out the nurses.

If you trust yourself to Delay the reaction for later, I guess it's fine? But it's an altered mental state like you said. Might not be capable of self-control at the time.

So not a fan of encouraging that line of thought, myself.

Good points here, perhaps it's best to not go out of your way to open that can of worms if you don't have to. As for me though, that memory has been living rent-free in my head my whole life, whether I like it or not, so I might as well find enjoyment where I can. The way I see it, I can either remember my experience being sedated as the terrifying degrading violation that it felt like at the time, or twist it in my head into something pleasurable.

..Oh mate. I'm so sorry.

But surely, there are better ways of coping with your trauma than sexualizing it?

If you are thinking about it all the time anyway, you could study up on anesthesiology. Understand more about how it works, maybe it wouldn't feel so scary.

or at the very least you will know your enemy.

I go under anesthesia at least once a year. I undergo a lot of surgeries and procedures.
While it's relaxing. I don't usually remember when I went under or when I woke up. Also usually im in pain after from whatever I got done.

A closer feeling is sedation, which I also get a lot for procedures. It feels much calmer.

I see the appeal though.

The only time I've felt close to good under medication was when they had to numb my arm before surgery and I commented to the surgeon how his manipulation of my anesthetized arm should freak me out but it wasn't. Other than that, I hate being medicated. Opioids, weed, booze, anesthesia, it all sucks. My brain knows it's not under control and hates it. I also have an aversion to needles.

That being said, there are parts of kink where the sub is made to sleep (either through mutual activity, MC, or force) turns me on. Eepy in general also turns me on. So I'm willing to say my personal experience is not necessarily an indicator of what I do/don't like.

I myself has never been sedated or under anesthesia on a meaningful way, but I can tell you that my hypnosis fetish has most certainly lead me to also be quite fond of depictions of induced unconsciousness, actually as of recently I’ve been more drawn to look up scenes of chloroform, sleeping gas, tranquilizing darts and the like, so I can vouch for the appeal overlap between the concepts beyond personal experience or associated trauma

Got got put under general anesthesia to get some wisdom teeth out. It was a very nice nap. Except waking up with less teeth was kinda weird.

I wouldn't say I felt anything hypnokinky about it. But I have seen a lot of medical and anesthesia related hypnokink art so I don't think it's unusual to be drawn to that sort of stuff. Just isn't my kink

As a kid i was sedated only ONCE, this was before i've gained my fetish for the record and at the time i've felt nothing, in fact i was BORED, but who knows what would happen now lol.

Happened to me lots as a kid! Didn't have the fetish yet, but the phenomenology of seeming to skip hours of time really opened my mind to the fact that mind does not always perceive things the way that they are actually happening. Led to lots of playground Cartesian speculation about false memories and the reliance of the cogito.

Much later, though, I had a fascinating hypno-adjacent medical experience: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Basically, to fix depression in the brain's executive centers, they put a pulsed magnetic coil right up next to your skull and non-invasively target certain areas with electromagnetic waves. They do so many times per second over the course of many sessions, so you get something like 100,000 distinct waves (not electrical shock; electroshock therapy is a different thing). I won't lie; it was bizarre and painful (though much much less painful than depression). But there is a fascinating thing that happened: as they were calibrating the pulse device, they missed the target area and instead hit my motor cortex. From my perspective, it seemed that I had elected to move my arm. I thought it was a placebo. But as they moved it to different parts of the cortex, I moved different parts of my arm. Every time, it felt that I had chosen to move that part of my arm. I was fascinated and had to suppress a boner. They commented that most find that phenomenon upsetting and disturbing.

I've never been sedated. But I do have a massive sleeping gas fetish, so I'll definitely be interested in what's posted here.
