Reason for post deletion?
not sure if this is the right place, so sorry if it isn't, but one of my posts was deleted and the reason was literally just "No"
This post was deleted. Reason: No / MD5: 51e080fbf8d8fb853efce815294cbea4

Those same images were already deleted earlier because they didn't feature any MC, even if you edited in some spiral eyes on the reupload it doesn't fix the fact that they're both generic as hell AI art and have a multitude of errors such as broken fingers or geometry that doesn't make any sense.

While I do agree in general, these are generally anti-AI comments, and there is a community that likes and supports AI art, so rejecting a post *because it is AI* shouldn't be the sole reason. We alrady know AI can fuzz small details like fingers and backgrounds, so that's a given when talking AI imagery. I also think it's extremely valueable for deletion reasons to actually be informative, so the original uploader actually learns what rule was broken, if any, and not just reflective of someone's personal attitude towards the art/rule/artist.

Just chipping in, not defending anyone in particular here.

Good thing nobody said that, did they< - >c

The errors in AI images are easily fixable in post by the generation software itself, or just...redrawing it. This basic effort, when performed, is what bestows AI generated images with Any sort of claim on artistry.

There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of it. The rule forbidding it was clearly stated and is readily available.

And absolutely no reason to waffle on about a point no one's made so you can look better compared to a scarecrow.

AI generated stuff by nature is very easy to mass-produce bordering on spam, so in the interest of both letting it exist at all and keeping the hub usable we're aggressively culling anything that either already exists in enough numbers (no copy/pasting the same prompt with a different character or just doing what has already been done a thousand times before), has these kinds of obvious errors that indicate laziness on the person making it or is just lacking in quality in general.

This isn't anything new and we've made our stance on it clear. At this point if you think that we're being too harsh then we welcome you to go somewhere else that is more accepting of it.

No need to go so hard on me, I wasn't stating a point of defense for AI art. As far as defects in generations go, some people are amateurs (be it with real artwork or AI prompt generation alike) and just want to show off what they've learned so far - there is plenty of arguably amateur content on the Hub already in that vein. Regarding the 'point nobody made'; OP said the deletion reason was "no". If that's incorrect, I had no way of knowing it, and I took their post at face value. I guess if the rule was clearly stated, then there's even less reason for a post deletion reason to be "no". Maybe that's not what happened - I'm just a commenter here like you are.

Just to be abundantly clear; I'm not in favour of AI art. I'm an artist myself. I didn't say I'm in favour of it, I didn't ask for more of it, and if the OP's post was crappy AI art, I have no problem with it being deleted. I really, truly, only came here to discuss the deletion reason, and not the moralistic quandry of AI art generation.

And trust me, scarecrows are *way* hotter than I am!

To be honest, I think the major part of people here (and in the major part of places) don't support or like Generative IA (including me), We merely tolerate them, as something we cannot change, in order to avoid losing our minds into depression and sadness (and for some people, anger).

That even got worse with the recent news about RAM, and the new "Feature" in twitter.

Oh yeah, I have been in the 'like them well enough' camp originally, but I'm Really souring on these guys.< - >

In Concept AI generation is something you could do legitimately, both as an artform and as work.

In Practice the overwhelming majority of people who use it are clueless dipshits who make zero effort to leave a personal mark on their images or compensate the artists.

There is gonna a Reckoning one day unless they get a grip and figure themselves out.

The issue I have is AI *can* be a good tool when used correctly. However, it's also a *very* easy tool to misuse, and by large, we only ever see the rampant misuse of it. For every GuileGaze who actually puts some effort into their work, there's 100 random people copy/pasting prompts and spamming dozens of samey "AI Slop" pictures.

Yeah alright we're not doing this again.
