Gauging interest in a writing/art contest with real money prizes
I want to run a contest to create mind control/transformation content on a specific theme (I won't go into detail on the topic here, but I feel it is a broad one). I specifically want to run a contest because I don't have a specific image or story I want to see realised, I have a general theme I want to see more works in. Both art and stories, as well as other forms of media if people want to create them, would be accepted.

The prize pool would be somewhere in the £700 ($940) range, split between multiple winners. There would probably be first/second/third prizes and then some small prizes for some subcategories like "most creative" or "best sci-fi".

Would there be any interest in this?

Personally, as an erotica writer myself over on Literotica, I think this would be awesome, as long as it's all above board for the Hub and yourself to host and give the prize away (I'm sure it would be but proper CYA should probably be followed) - I have participated in their monthly/prize challenges before and come out with some nice new ideas from it!

Since this isn't a routine thing (and so not something that someone will get another shot at if this isn't their specific kink) it might be worth advertising the idea ahead of time (doesn't have to be now, but say a week beforehand maybe?) although that isn't strictly necessary. I'm just thinking, personally, if I got all hyped up and then the kink was feet, I'd be slightly bummed.

But great idea and good on you for wanting to put up prize cash, I hope it all works out!

I'd definitely be interested! It'd be a good way to practice my writing even if I don't win, and it'd be fun to see all the other entries as well!

Color me intrigued. What is this general theme you'd want to see more works in?

I'd definitely be interested in something like this. I've never partaken in a writing contest before.

Although, what sort of thing constitutes "transformation?" Can you give some examples of what you mean?

Yeah, sure, it could be fun winning a contest with my superior writing skills~

Though would depend on exact theme. Plenty I'd be simply uninterested in.

Like other writers here, I am provisionally interested. If the prompt/topic is interesting to me, I will definitely take part!

It's good to hear there's interest. I'm currently working on sorting out the rules and such. I would particularly like to know if people have any advice for promotion - I'm trying to build up a list of sites to post promotion and accept submissions on.

Not sure about promotion, other than relevant Reddits and the HH discord, but if you want to put this fairly far into the future, you could always host it over on Literotica and they could support it officially through their forums and writer's areas/uploads.

Rules, FWIW, could also be cross-checked with places like there, and should be mostly straight-forward (no AI, length between A and B, must contain X/Y and Z, must be submitted through E by F time on G date, etc etc etc) although you may want to be explicit about how you'll send the cash to the winners and what countries might be left out, if any. (For example, you wouldn't be able to PayPal the winnings to someone in Russia.) Would be happy to properly help expand on rules or anything if you need!
