How long does mod approval typically take?
To be honest, I’d be okay if the image I submitted didn’t get approved(I would understand why), but I was just curious if you get an actual “sorry, your submission has been rejected” or if it just sits in limbo forever.

Best not to post images you are particularly attached to the first few times. I believe 5 approved ones will have you greenlit so post by post approval is no longer necessary.

Please offer the staff Some understanding, they are largely unpaid volunteers.

Looking at the post it's only been up a few days... And it's also flagged, for a pretty good reason I'd say? I wouldn't make a fuss about them not doing their job when you are pushing the upload guidelines yourself.

Oh yeah, definitely no fuss or anything. I was just honestly curious. Thanks

Can confirm as someone who went through the process myself, yeah it takes quite a while and if it gets unlucky it might take a week

Look I get that mods have lives and a lot of other things to worry about and that's fine. HOWEVER this long wait is really freaking stupid. Because this site gets dozens of new posts daily, so by the time the new pics get approval, it's been pushed back to like page 3 or 4. Like my friend Cleo and I got a pic together, but because it was her first pic and she (AND I for that matter) were unaware that there even WAS a "Moderator Approval" process and wait, what ended up happening was that we got a cute pic together we really liked, but because of the wait, NOBODY SAW IT :/

And now I think history is about to repeat itself, because Cleo JUST uploaded TWO MORE pics of our OCs together, but it got hit AGAIN by "Awaiting Moderator Approval".

Look again, I GET moderating the site is hard. But what irks me is that me and my friend are getting fucked because she's relatively new to uploading and LITERALLY NOBODY EVEN HINTED at this whole "moderator approval" thing even EXISTING :/

EDIT: Okay, BugmenotEncore below has proven me wrong and I, without hesitation, admit I was wrong. There IS a post in the uploads page that says this is a thing that happens. See posts below as to why I initially said what I said, and again, apologies for my ignorance.

I was with you before you said this, but it says 'Any post may not be listed right away and may need approval.' right on the upload page, and pretty much the same thing pops up right after you upload an image.

You pretty much just admitted to not reading the basic rules. On the page you have to go to in the first place to upload anything that isn't a video.

Not to say your point does not have merit. You wanna talk Personal issues. Fine.

Mods and contributors would have a Lot more time on their hands if people grew attention spans in excess of a lemming's.
Read at least the rules being offered on a platter, if not look them up the wiki every once in a while.

Maybe my uploads will be things I personally like, instead of half of them replacing a badly cropped, artifact ridden jpeg.

Okay it does say that, and yes I didn't read the basic rules, mostly because I've been on this site for over a decade, so uploading stuff without reading the rules just kinda became natural instinct, and either this rule wasn't in place way back then or maybe I just never truly noticed or remembered it when I first started out myself, and never noticed now because every time I upload I have no problems. So okay, that's on me and I genuinely apologize for my ignorance.

Thank you very much o. o admitting when you are wrong is Based, and therefore, so are you.

I've been an idiot before too, it's gonna happen now and again to everyone.

And you are absolutely right that things could be better. Let's all do our best to keep this old, crumbling website trucking<w >
