i've been floating a few ideas for hypno-focused RPGs, and i've been wondering how other devs have gone about it. so my question is, what would you all consider the quintessential hypno JRPGs to be?

It's kind of hard to pick since I'd say there are more visual novels than JRPGs, but the first and really only one that comes to my mind is Sonia and the Hypnotic City. Any other games really fall into other categories, like Snow Daze for hypno visual novels and Hypnosync for rhythm games.

Depends on what your looking for, overwhored, monster girl dreams and odyssey of Gianna all come to mind as expansive rpg style games with extensive mc content

It's not all hypno content, but the Three Charms series has a LOT of it, including but not limited to:
Indian Water Spirit with hypnotic dancing.
Vampire with magic eyes and kissing techniques. Also handholding.
Tanned Oni that forces you to lock eyes with her as you have sex.
A Fox Spirit that entices you to become her husband while making your body push hers down.
