I went to make a wiki entry for the Danganrompa series and when I was adding in the info I had realized that for some reason the first two games are lumped together under the entire series tag while the other entries have separate tags. Is there a reason for the inconsistency? I feel like it would make more sense to create THH and DR2 tags separate from the dangan_ronpa.

There is a reason, it just isn't a good one.

Danganronpa is a series that predates the site, and in HypnoHub's early days, tags were messy..in a different way than they are messy today, that is.

They could only be added by staff members, rather than people who care about this or that individual series or tag concept. People like that have the motivation to tag those things thoroughly. Site staff, not so much. There are only so many pet projects a single person can have, and they had other things to do.

Unless they Really felt like doing bookkeeping one day, that sort of distinction of convenience just wasn't getting done. It could still be Found, and back then, that was often the best you got.

Newer releases coincided with the site opening up tags to contributors, so those got their own tags.

Shouldn't be an issue with you fixing it up, if you have the time and willingness to change it.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I'll see what I can do but I imagine it will be a lot of cleanup. Thanks for the info.
