Taking the first steps to learning the dark art of 3D animation, and finished this just in time for Hypnovember. There's a lot more to keep track of compared to 2D images, and attention to little details is significantly more impactful as well. Even this basic loop took almost 8 times as long as my Tamamo pendulum animation. I feel like the final product is more faithful to the intended purpose of the raw materials compared to image captioning, though, so I feel more comfortable working this way. Good models are expensive though...
MMD is also the clunkiest tool I've ever handled, but a well-rigged model helps smooth out a lot of the rough edges. Maybe now that I've gotten a handle on things, I can move on to Blender or something.
I've also been cooking up a couple games on the back burner, but haven't yet been able to find a sprite artist that suits my preferences. I'll keep looking, though. Hopefully I'll be able to show off something early next year, but who knows...
