Little backstory:
Gex never misses his favorite TV shows, especially the one that comes on every night at 23:00. When that time comes, he excitedly goes to the television to enjoy his favorite show, where he feels he is literally playing an important role. And although he can't say much about the show, such as what it's about and why he likes it so much, he always falls soundly asleep afterward and gets up the next morning very happy and rested. And although he doesn't understand why his carpet gets very sticky after this show, and why there are girl's clothes and filming equipment in his closet, he doesn't pay much attention to it. It's like an inner voice is telling him that it's not something he should care about, and he doesn't.
