But Thad didn't respond, simply sporting a dumb grin on his face as his eye-screen displayed spirals, which confused Uzi further, until she heard a familiar voice from nearby, speaking calmly in Russian, (Uzi, pleasure to see you again.)
Uzi turned to see Doll, the popular girl Lizzy's usual companion, now dressed in a red bedlah get-up with puffy pants and a small top, even gold decals at the end of her arms to mimic gold bracelets. She smirked with a look of confidence that was a far cry from the more docile-looking girl Uzi knew her as, one that would just keep to herself and laugh along with whatever Lizzy said, usually at Uzi or someone else's expense. She walked towards Uzi with her hips swaying, further confusing Uzi, (I'm here to offer you an olive branch.)
Uzi, as to be extected, was having none of it, "Can it, what the hell is going on here!?"
Doll shook her head, walking around Uzi and an entranced Thad, (Still angry after what went down? I cannot say I blame you. But still, running away with the Disassembly Drones who've done nothing but threaten us?)
"Bite me!", a term that those familiar with Uzi knew all too well, "I'm looking to actually make humans pay for what they did to us!"
(And I'm looking to make those monsters pay for what they did to us. Or do you recall who took your mother?), Doll glanced Uzi, without missing a step in her graceful, circular walk.
"Wha- I-", Uzi was infuriated to hear Doll bring up this sore spot, but before she could retort, Doll stood in front of her...
(They took my parents too, Uzi. And what convinces you they won't just make you their next meal? I knew what their hunger is like. They think you're a friend? Cute, but that won't mean much to them once that spire of corpses runs out.) Doll said it with a lot of conviction, it was easy to write it off as manipulative, but the way she said it, it was clear she was venting some frustration at the Disassembly Drones. Uzi pondered a good response, but Doll's words cut deep, and raised a few questions about her knowing about this "hunger". But alas, Uzi couldn't utter a word, distracted by Doll's continuous swaying, even as her walk had ceased. She swayed like a pendulum, it was surprisingly effecient in keeping Uzi from thinking of a clever response.
Smiling slightly at Uzi's clearly confused reaction, Doll continued speaking calmly, not missing a beat in her swaying, even raising her arms to make it look more like a proper dance, even throwing in a few twirls, knowing full well Uzi wouldn't look away (I've been granted access to a wonderful power. Sadly, it is not enough to bring back those I lost, but it can help me ensure their killer face justice. It would seem that killer's cohorts technically include you now, but given our shared suffering, I figured I'd handle you personally.)
Hearing Doll say this, and seeing the smale smile evolve into a wider grin, Uzi was naturally put off, concerned what she had in store for any of them. And yet Uzi couldn't so much as turn her head, let alone raise an arm in retaliation. In fact, her arms felt oddly heavy, almost as much as her feet, which may as well have been sunken into the ground for how hopeless it seem to move them. All she could do was be like Thad and watch, watch Doll dance around as purple fumes became visible from the corners of her vision. Was this a gas of sorts? A product of the constant storms outside leaking through? No clue, but the smoke began enveloping all around them, the hall becoming little more than a dark violet haze, the only thing visible being Doll herself, her beauty admittedly growing on Uzi a bit. Uzi's own expression had changed, from concern and anger to a more relaxed curiousity, seemingly content to watch Doll twirl around and around, not even thinking a thing about the purple smoke enveloping her and Thad as they watched. Uzi's eyes were glued to her, until the smoke slowly but surely covered her completely, and all she saw was darkness.
Uzi's mind processed what had just happened, what she had just seen, and more personally, what she had just heard. Doll's criticisms of her impulsiveness were aggrivating, but what made them that way was that Uzi could see her point. She had already been pinned to a wall, nearly eaten by N, saved only by a mixture of Khan and J's own mistakes, and the thought, nay, the possibility of N's hunger winning out over whatever bond they may have had was a frightening reality she didn't want to confront, but alas, she probably would have had to, if not for her.
Uzi opened her eyes and looked down, seeing that her form had changed as the purple smoke mostly dispelled, but her legs had become non-existent, now a whispy tail of purple fumes swirling around. Her beanie and helmet gone, her hoodie discarded for a purple bedlah top not unlike the one she had seen Doll wearing earlier, complete with gold decals on her wrists. Still a bit stunned from the dance that had lulled her here, Uzi mustered up the will to turn and see what this new tail was attatched to, a silver lamp adorned with Thad's recognizable cap, and a little screen on the side displaying those same spirals he had a moment before. Uzi could almost see similar spirals forming in her own vision, forming a grin on her face as she dissipated into the lamp's funnel.
Thad woke up in a rather luxorious room, purple cushions and carpets, speakers that could play music, even a few posters that seemed like things Uzi would keep around. He remembered everything that lead up to it, a talk with Lizzy that left him confused and dazed, Doll asking him to call Uzi to him, and a dance that ended with purple fumes filling the room. But as he looked up, he saw Uzi herself, now towering over him with a tail of smoke where her legs should be. She grinned down at him with swirls displaying on her screen, letting out a familiar laugh as she filled him in on where he is, "Good news, Thad, my mistress said you get to work for me in here! As one of her genies, I expect to be treated properly, got it?"
"......huh now?", Thad responded the only way he could to all of this, as Uzi wasn't one to call someone her "Mistress", or demand that people wait hand and knee on- Actually, that part might be in-character now that he thought about it.
"Did I stutter? Or should I start testing out my unearthly powers now?", Uzi said with a load of confidence, purple swirls materializing behind her, catching Thad's attention...
In the dark hall, Doll picked up the silver lamp displaying Thad's face, examining it. Lizzy had told her how this works, he was still very much alive in there, as was Uzi, but now they served her, Uzi especially, joining Lizzy as Doll's other devoted genie. She had felt bad not thinking about how Uzi would fall under her wish of "Making V and her cohorts pay", but it seems her rather vague wish had allowed Lizzy some creative freedom, and Uzi very likely enjoyed the new nigh-infinite cosmic power she had gotten out of this. In any sense, she had another companion to keep around now, both she and Uzi no longer burdened by hunger.
And soon they wouldn't be burdened by anything or anyone else.
