I must admit, this venture has been more successful than I ever imagined. At the behest of the very blonde girl he was chasing, I and my husband took to Traverse Town to find our son Sora, to ensure his safety, and met a number of friends he made on his travels. The town itself is rather quiet, though his latest venture into the Realm of Darkness (which given all he went through, will be the last time he goes there in a long time if I have anything to say about it) has granted it more residents, mainly children from a doomed world of nightmares, and an older, otherworldly girl who seems driven to look after them all. That King and Aqua might want to keep checking in on this town for their sakes.


But now this little adventure of theirs is at its end, this young lady, Namine, seems to have gained the will to live, and Sora is getting ready to take her back with us to Destiny Islands, undoubtedly to introduce her to his other friends. A happy ending all around But I have one last bit of business here, one involving those who helped him on his journey.


These people, these Summons as Sora calls them, are people who were pulled across Worlds to aid him, and for that, I owe them dearly. Hence why I gave them these lessons for free. A nice little break for most of them, specifically the older ladies he had called upon. There were a few others closer to Soras age, but theyve since been sent back to their own homes, leaving only 5 women who have yet to leave.


And these 5 women were very interesting students to teach the ways of baladi, a hobby and sidejob of mine, aside from trying to read the future (I swear Im getting better at it). Some were enthusiastic, others needed a bit to get used to it, but in the end, these 5 were some of the most interesting people Ive met, and frankly, its gotten the idea of branching out a bit more into my head. I think the best way to get my thoughts out is to describe them one-by-one.


Ramona Flowers


This lady was an odd one, as she was apparently traveling back in time from the future when Sora accidentally picked her up. She was pretty patient with him, but she had an awkward side under that cool demeanor, made a bit obvious when Sora had to tell her Im his mother and not his older sister, and she nearly choked on her drink. She almost choked again when I told her how old my dear Kumo and I really are. Hey, dancing keeps the body slim and limber, what can I say?


Ramona got over the shock and noticed a bit on my tents sign offering dancing lessons. As my usual job wasnt yielding much customers here (and Sora gets them for free), I figured this was a good way to make some cash, giving her some pointers on how to show off that gorgeous body of hers in the form of dance! And I do mean gorgeous, Ramonas a bit touchy about her own age but shes a stunner, shes got curves any woman would envy, and that colorful hair of hers really compliments the outfit I picked for her, a silky pink and blue piece with a loincloth to flow almost as much as her purple-and-violet locks! She was a bit a skittish about dancing in such a skimpy piece, but I found a way to motivate her.


Ive used my skills onstage not just to entertain and exercise, but entice! A few sways of the hips and my abdomen becomes a pendulum for Ramona to fixate on, and then mimic to the best of her abilities. She looked very adorable with that dazed look, it was clear she wasnt sure how this was working, but nonetheless, she got into the groove. Surprisingly for someone who skates around so quickly, her dance was a slow one, letting us all see her movements in every detail. Her lips are sealed on who she intends to perform for in her time, and personally, who am I to pry?


Ruby Rose


A Huntress from a far off world, one I owed a great bit to as she and her team helped Sora on his first journey. In a way, shes part of the reason my World is free from the Heartless grasp now. So when she asked (very enthusiastically) for some dance lessons, I gave her a discount. Hey, I got a husband and son to feed, I cant go giving my secrets for free. Speaking of which, theyre hardly identical, but I couldnt help but see a bit of my boy Sora in her, a simple, honest soul who wears her Heart on her sleeve and is eager to make friends with others. No wonder they get along so well!


Ruby had hoped to use these lessons to lift the spirits of the people on her own World. Given everything she said about her World and its history, I can see why theyd need a little levity. I got Kumo to tailor an outfit for her that does her justice, a soft red top with black pants and silver trim. She was a bit teary when I said shed have to put aside her cape and weapon, but I knew just how to reignite that spirit in her once she had the outfit on. Some shimmies here, a few figure eights there, I had to put a bit more oomph into this one because she was a bit more hyper than Ramona, but I managed to get her in the right headspace.


After getting her to practice a few moves, I advised her to try freestyling, even told her to think of it like how she describes her weapon, this dance should be an extension of herself. That suggestion evidently sank deep into her head as she spun around so fast she produced rose petals (Im not even going to pretend I understand that), shaking her hips at a borderline superhuman rate that caught me off-guard and left me feeling a little dizzy. Kumo had to step in and snap both of us out of a dual trance. A bit embarrassing, but Ruby didnt mind.


Usagi Tsukino


Apparently, this girl is a big superheroine and even the destined protector of Kingdom Hearts. At least thats what her talking cat said. Naturally, her job meant she got tangled into both Sora and Rubys lives as it was her job to stop them from seeking the giant heart-moon out. But she went beyond that and helped Ruby realize she doesnt need it to solve that whole Salem problem. Just as well that those two torched that witch, she tried laying a hand on my boy. So, like Ruby, I owed her a discount.


Fitting for a destined queen or whatever that cat was on about, I had Kumo fashion a pink-and-gold piece for her to wear, complete with a veil! For such a hero, she was a bit lazy in the learning department, but my son is a sleepy head, so I knew all she needed was a carrot on a stick. Or most specifically, to be told how many hot people she could attract if she learned to shake those heavenly hips of hers. That was all the motivation she needed. But I still hypnotized her with my own dance anyway because it was funny.


Usagi was a bit of a klutz, by her own admission. Many times did she slip up and fall on her face. Or mine. But Id be lying if I said I was good at this on my first try. Everyone starts somewhere and the fact that she kept going was admirable, until she finally got the hang of it, her moves were energetic but accentuated her dainty nature in battle, with a lot of skips and high jumps, it was enough to make a professional jealous. She definitely wouldnt have any trouble getting people to bow to her with moves like that.


Yeva Vladivla


This little robot is adorable and if anything bad ever happens to her, Im going to scream! Yevas a bit of a mute, but so is my husband, so Sora and I both know how to read what shes trying to sign to us. She didnt have the heart to tell Sora what her world was like but she was pretty descriptive to me when we were alone in the tent. Her people were liberated mechanical slaves that found themselves hidden away in a bunker to avoid the Heartless and Grimm. She was hoping traveling with Sora would make her strong enough to protect her people, perhaps even free them to see the surface again, but she felt this was her cross to bear. Also her planets atmosphere was filled with asbestos so she couldnt take Sora, Ruby, or Sailor Moon there since they couldnt breathe it Im not sure if Sora can breathe that, knowing what I know now, but I dont want to take chances and neither does she.


Yevas outfit was a bit slimmer and smaller than most, and rather than any pants or a loincloth, she opted for a lavender dress, a nice change from that hospital gown of hers. For a robot designed to mine windex, she was remarkably nimble, and could mirror my movements remarkably well. Finally, a student that could keep at my pace, not faster or slower, but she was a bit difficult to entrance. Being a machine and all.


I suppose I didnt need to hypnotize all my students. Sure, it helped Ramonas confidence and Rubys focus, but with others, its less a necessity and more a playful show of dominance. I am their teacher and they are my pupils to shape into beauties of the stage, and it feels very good to have someone gawk at my moves. But in the end, the entrancement may not be necessary for such a dutiful and serious studen- Oh nevermind, I just put her under. Goodness, if I can do that, I feel like I could do anything! And Im sure Yeva feels like she could as well by the end of this lesson!


Master Aqua


My final student, and one I will be receiving repeated visits from, given her connection to Sora and his friends. Aqua has had it harsh for years now, and while she had just retrieved one old friend of hers (Turns out his Heart was within Sora, who knew?), she still has one to look for, but King Mickey said she should take it slow and easy after how much shes suffered. Of course, he was also ordered to take it slow and easy after his search for her got him gutted by Salem. Hes feeling better now but Queen Minnie is a bit insistent on him coming home for the time being. Nonetheless, Aqua has been hampered with nightmares and still harbors some self-loathing for nearly losing herself, so perhaps these lessons could help. Free of charge, she was far too shaken for me to demand any payment.


I gave a lot of extra input for Aquas outfit, one not too far off from my own, but with some differences, mainly the purple color and the silver heart amulet. It was actually one of the many accessories Sora picked up on his travels. Its shocking what people just leave in treasure chests hidden in bushes and alleyways. Apparently, it increases someones strength and magic greatly, so thats helpful. Aqua was naturally hesitant to try such a scandalous-looking ensemble, but a bit of flattery about how it emphasized her beauty made her more comfy. Not like Im lying, shes ravishing, especially in that piece. But I had more intentions than just making her feel pretty, this girl was scared for those she loved, a feeling I can empathize with, and what she needed wasnt just to be put under, but to learn to take back something she hadnt had in her life for a long time. Control.


But before she could get a grasp of that control, wed have to give her some peace, so of course, I treated her to the same dance the others got. It really alarmed me how quickly she fell under. Ramona took a bit but didnt take much effort given she was more focused. Ruby and Usagi were hyper and excitable, their easily-distracted nature requiring more effort. Yeva was made of much stronger stuff, be it will or just machinery. Aqua however sunk under in mere seconds. This girl really has endured a lot, the Light in her Heart was reignited by Soras efforts but her mind was still weakened by years of pain. It would definitely take more time to help build that confidence back up.


Luckily, I had time to do just that, especially with us heading back to Destiny Islands soon. The others went back to their own Worlds, Ruby and Yeva hoping to lighten up their dark homes, Usagi ready to try and live up to her destiny, and Ramona heading back to the future to make things right. Namine and Aqua are both coming with my family back to the Islands, the two need a place to stay and clear their heads. I know Sora will eventually head out again on some other grand journey, hes tough to pin down, but in the meantime, I at least have him here with me and Kumo, and in between lessons for Aqua, I really want to catch up with him and hear all about the Worlds hes seen so far.
