When a hypnotist successfully hypnotizes a subject, but something happened (e.g. making a mistake, ambiguous suggestion wording, misunderstanding) which leads to results the hypnotist did not want. This can often lead to turning_the_tables.
Not to be confused with failed_hypnosis, where the hypnosis wasn't successful.
