The dom employs only mundane forms of manipulation that could plausibly exist in the real world.
The tag is not concerned with how realistic it would be for the method of choice to succeed in real life, as that can often times be gray and difficult to determine. Both it or its execution may be fanciful, so long as it is performed without supernatural means, mind control technology, hypnotic superpowers, or other similar sort of fictional and fantastical methods. Instead, it's simply done with the use of words, gestures and/or mundane objects.
This tag requires explicit evidence the hypnosis is ordinary. This is usually, but not always, shown through the dialogue.
Fantastical elements, when present, may serve as props so long as they don't play a direct role in putting the subject into trance or could have been substituted by a mundane object. For example, a fantasy or futuristic world in which a character employs mundane methods of hypnosis, or someone puffing a pocket watch into existence, yet said pocket watch is still just a regular pocket watch.
