You have no idea how much I love you for translating this, Penway.
I've been dying to get a translation for over a year now, ever since I first watched the anime and found this image. Uni was practically my anime-crush for a month. XD

Some day I hope to get faster, but looking up kanji from a picture is tedious.

Glad to help, either way. Definitely helped increase my confidence a bit, after it was destroyed from previous attempts awhile ago. (Which is why I wasn't doing much lately). Should be close enough to follow along with the story, but certainly not a perfect translation.

Edit: Oh, the English version is Uni? Why would they even make that change? Edited the translation, but quite reluctantly =P

Hm? That's what Danbooru has as the tag for her...

Oh, probably should have explained that the actual image has her name written as Yuni. Just seems like such a strange, even pointless, change. If it was something like May/Haruka, I'd understand, but no, just removed the Y.

It kind of reminds me of the Cynthia/Shirona change that was made. I tend to prefer certain things to remain how they are. I don't really know what people there are thinking sometimes.

How is that similar? O.o
And I'm guessing it's still pronounced "Yuni" even without the Y. I mean, Danbooru always uses the Japanese names, so I'm sure there's a reason it's "Uni".

I actually have no idea. I watched a subbed version. For me, it was Yuni. I was annoyed when I found all her tags were spelled Uni at first, but I got over it.

It could have just slipped through the cracks, though. Who knows?
I'm sure you're probably right about its pronunciation, too.

It's worth noting that there is no English version of the anime. Only the manga has been officially brought to North America (where it is simply called "Reborn!"). Doing a Ctrl+F on the Wikipedia page for Reborn! characters brings up one instance of the name "Uni" and several of the name "Yuni", and neither name has its own section.

In other words, it's probably Yuni in the translated Manga but someone on Wikipedia knew her as Uni. Alternatively, the translation could literally go both ways? Holo/Horo, anyone?
