Something bugs me about the singer's face. I couldn't say for sure what it is, though.

Might I suggest Nami and Robin from One Piece (pre-timeskip designs) with tentacle-y parasites on their heads (in the vein of hypnohub.net/post/show/3158 ) affixing one of the parasites on Vivi's head?

Nami and Robin are absolutely euphoric, grinning from ear to ear and drooling all over themselves. Vivi is slowly succumbing to the parasite's control, her lips starting to form a smile.

It's not a pleasant look, but it is true to the glare that often adorns Aquarius' face in at least the anime.
