There's more to this comic, but even when I offered to pay him for it, Jimryu refused to sell me the other pages. Very strange business practice.

while i don't attempt to debate the morality of the situation, its a bit silly to assume your stuff is just gonna not get put on the internet. Thats why most artists do things by commission, make a one time profit from any one picture, or more under whatever circumstances. Assuming people will pay for anything on the internet in this day and age isn't exactly smart.

Technically, he's in his rights to be pissed, but really, times have changed.

I remember when he first advertised this. I always wanted to see it but never could find it no matter where I looked and he had locked it away before I had a chance to purchase it. I understand him wanting to protect his work but at the same time, as Somax said, times have changed

Say what you will about Jimryu, but I freaking love the outfits he gives everyone.

I for one think I understand it, probably angry when his comics is purchased, then posted on websites and also get it for free, it is a similar case with "Team Hypno" Jimryu is upset that users will post their comic on different pages, for that reason he delete the comic DA, On the other hand, you can earn money selling comics, but since when being posted, angry that anyone, yeah... I also made the mistake of posting images of Jimryu here.
But if they will buy at least the comics, that at least you and not have to post them on other pages.

EXCUSE me? I have never posted anything of Jimryu's anywhere that it didn't already exist. And the one thing I re-posted here in a more conveniently consumed format was last month. I asked him about buying this comic 2 or 3 YEARS ago.

Unfortunately, we really just don't live in an age where that business model is possible anymore. People fucking love his work. if he opened a patreon and commissions like any sensible person in this age, he wouldn't have an issue.

Again, all morality aside, the "everyone pays for a single comic over and over" model is not sustainable. its the nature of the internet, unfortunately. And thats why new ways for artists to make money have cropped up.
