He means that a "brainwashing" tag is unnecessary because we already know everything here is hypnosis and/or brainwashing.

That's like stating "a baseball player plays baseball" or "an ice cream parlor sells ice cream"

It's redundant and pointless because such information, or in this case tag, is already obvious

1. Morally horrible, but hawt. And at least the narrator’s efficient!

For reference, brainwashing and mind control are the same thing: forcibly (re)programming someone for an extended period of time or permanently, whether they like it or not; hypnosis means you willingly give yourself up to the power of suggestion, say a hypnotist getting you to cluck like a chicken on stage or a psychiatrist helping you forget something that you wish to forget.
