They were made glowing. The original had it not glowy enough. Plus they are empty-ish.

The eyes originally had black pupils, and also the white "shine". Instead, it's been removed for that, and added a glow both to the eye and around the eye.

Much like, y'know, most allowed manips that just add glows to the eyes, except this also removed the white-shine and made it dull instead.

A superhero having glowing eyes that still have defined pupils is beyond pushing it (and I don't think that source link is accurate either).
