Oh look, something that should've actually happened in the anime! At the very least, let Yuzu take Ruri's place in the tag match. That would've made sense. It's not like having the protagonist battle against their brainwashed best friend is a recurring thing in this franchise or anything. Nobody want to see that.
But you know what people did want to see? Yuya playing paintball with a filler villain. Because that's what everyone wanted in the middle of the final arc: a multiple-episode filler match, while the far more important Shun vs Ruri and Yugo vs Rin matches were one episode affairs.
This just reminds me of why Arc-V made my blood boil so fiercely! Don't even get me started on that ending. They didn't even try with that one! They didn't. Even. TRY!
And yet, I'd still take it over Vrains. That's the sad part.
