Alright, so it's easy to see how this sequence of images is MC, but I don't see it in the other images by this artist. Is there something I'm missing?

No, this is from the game Etheral LegioN. It's just a one-off enemy in the game. His other games are fantastic, but only Wandering City features any MC. He's making a new game currently, and it remains to be seen whether it will feature any MC. Though, with most ACT games, you can kind of invent an MC narrative if you want. I do.
