I've had a bit of a change of direction for this series. You'll see what I mean next month. For now, please enjoy! There's a story in the spoiler.

Shinobu sat up, blinking in the light. Oh, goodness. What had happened there? She was on a bed in a room she didn't recognise. Alright then. Deep breath. Time to think about where she'd been and what had just happened:

She, Ryuunosuke and Ran had all split up to approach different potential recruits for the harem. Shinobu herself had been wandering off to the Moroboshi place to launch a quick surprise attack on Ataru and explain the situation to him. While dancing for him, of course. That went without saying at this point. After that it would have been entirely up to him -

But then it was a total blank. She couldn't remember. something had surprised her. Something from behind. The next thing she remembered, she was in this room.

"Where am I?" she pondered.

"Welcome Shinobu," said a familiar voice. "I've been watching you quite carefully today."

It took her a moment, but it came to her pretty quickly: "Ryoko?" she asked. Yes, Ryoko Mendo. Shutaro's little sister. A manipulative rich girl with no empathy for others. Pretty, cute, but that's about the extent of it.

"I must say I am disappointed," Ryoko went on. "Hypnotised by a silly dance."

Which was when Ryoko stepped into Shinobu's line of sight, and all of a sudden she could relax a bit. Aha. So Ryoko really had been watching them all day. She was already dressed up in a haremgirl outfit that had what looked like actual currency attached. In fact, on closer inspection it very much seemed as though the entire outfit was literally made of money. Just shows the wealth of the Mendo family, doesn't it?

"Fufufu..." Ryoko laughed. Her hips began to shimmy from side to side in an extremely familiar pattern. "Watch carefully now. I'll use this same dance to put you under my control."

Shinobu tilted her head and quirked an eyebrow. "Put me... Under your control?"

"That's right," Ryoko said, fully throwing herself into the dance. "I've been practising this dance for that very reason!"

Ohoho, how delicious. Of course. Ryoko had a bit of an interest in hypnosis, didn't she? Learning of a hypnotic dance must have been very exciting for her! Shinobu moved herself to the edge of the bed and crossed her legs, watching Ryoko with growing amusement. Of course, she herself was no longer affected by the dance. Furthermore she understood fully how the dance really worked.

"Weren't you worried of being hypnotized yourself?"

"Not at all, the willpower of a Mendo is far more than a common person."

Delicious. This was completely delicious. Oh! Seeing an arrogant Mendo get hoisted by their own petard was almost as much of a turn on as the thought of dancing for Darling. Shinobu settled in to watch Ryoko dance herself into unknowing submission and couldn't keep herself from smirking in triumph. She'd won without having to do anything at all.

"That's right Shinobu," Ryoko jeered while waving her hands above her head. "Watch as I turn this erotic dance back against you."

"Oh yes. It's definitely working. I am falling under your power, rather than the other way around."

Ryoko's eyes fluttered. Goodness me, what a nice look for her.

"So weak willed," Ryoko wet her lips. "Though I must admit, this dance feels nice when performing for others."

Almost there. Just needs a little more of a push.

"Once you're done with me, you should dance for Ataru." Ah, that was possibly going a bit too far... Or not, if that throaty moan bubbling up from Ryoko's throat was anything to go by.

"Yes! I must dance for your Darling. Put him under my power too!"

"And certainly not because you've hypnotized yourself into becoming yet another harem girl."

No, no. Perish the thought. Of course Ryoko wasn't another harem girl... Yet. Though give it another minute and we'll see how she's feeling. It's funny really. This turn of events was ultimately rewarding bad behaviour. It was quite naughty of her to set about spying on them like this.

Shinobu slid off the bed and rose to her feet, feeling the magical feeling of the enthralling harem dance begin to beat within her body. It was in time with her heart, and who was she to deny it? A harem girl. That's what. She stepped up in front of Ryoko and began to show her what it really meant to embrace the dance. Now, how best to push her all the way over?

"Not that I think you'd make a good harem girl anyway."

The answer: Play on her pride.

"Ooh! You're wrong! A Mendo can never fail at anything they do!"

All too easy.

"Even becoming another devoted harem slave?"

The rich brat seemed to take notice of Shinobu's dancing, and began to speed up the tempo, unknowingly speeding up the process of her own acceptance. Almost immediately her eyes were glazed over, and a bit of drool was evident at the corner of her mouth. Heh. Just like Ran when she'd been about to fully give in.

"Ah! I'll show you! I'll dance for Darling! I'll become his favourite!"

Silly girl. There were no favourites in this harem. And if there were, it certainly wouldn't be you.

"Of course you will. Not because you've been hypnotized, but because you can."

And that's all folks. The daughter of the Mendo family had brainwashed herself without even meaning to.

"Dance... for... Darling!"

Triumph tasted nice but Shinobu knew what would taste even better. She laid her hands around Ryoko's slender waist and pulled her in, savouring the taste of those sweet, sweet lips. Quite the worthwhile lesson. Some of the nicest things in life can't be bought by money

The Mendo family is stupid rich. And believe me when I say that this is nothing compared to the quirks and foibles that family presents within the Urusei Yatsura manga. At one point they turn a mansion into a board game simulation, replete with "miss a turn" areas and secret passageways that lead people to and fro through the building.
