Well, it took only seven months, but here’s finally the next part of Maki’s adventure as a vampire.

Last time she and Kaede were very untimely interrupted by a certain bear. Will they escape? Will Maki continue to act terrible awkward as a newborn vampire? Will the next part take another seven months?
Maybe. Yes. Hopefully not.

I’m truly speechless. Of all the times for him to appear this has to be the absolute worst.
Well, maybe the second worst. Him arriving right when I was busy drinking Kaede’s blood would have been even more unfortunate.
My brain is frantically trying to come up with something to say, but the combination of surprise and the still lingering dizziness brought by the candles seems to block every coherent thought.
“Well, your headmaster is waiting for an answer. The anticipation is really unbearable … puhuhuhu.”
He almost casually slides the metallic claws out of his right paw.
This is dangerous … My boosted reflexes should be enough to bring me into striking range, but what then? I could …
“Ah, geez Maki, stop fooling around and give it back!”
Her annoyed expression catches me off guard.
“Give back what?”
Now she actually puffs up her cheeks, looking like a petulant but still adorable child.
“My bra of course, you meanie.”
With that she suddenly reaches under my shirt and pulls out a bra.
My bra, naturally.
For a second I wonder when she had found the time to unhook it. I mean, how long was she on top of me before the untimely interruption? Two seconds tops?
She truly is astounding. Maybe I should’ve expected that the Ultimate Pianist has nimble fingers.
Looking at the intruder I’m actually a little bit surprised that a fully automatic killing machine like Monokuma is capable of showing such a confused expression.
“That … why? What were you doing?!”
“Ah, headmaster, we were just doing typical girl stuff. Braiding hair, stealing bras … who knows, maybe we will have a pillow fight next?”
“I don’t know. This does not seem right …”
“But of course it is! Don’t you ever see TV? We girls do this stuff all the time, right, Maki?”
She looks at me, her eyes filled with the same determination as a salesman who’s planning to sell every one of his refrigerators to the North Pole, or die trying.
“Yeah, that’s right. It is absolutely normal behavior. Can’t even remember how often I did this … stuff alone today.”
“Hm, maybe you are telling the truth. I should ask Monophanie. I think she’s a girl cub.”
Aren’t you her father?!
“On the other hand, I think as headmaster it is my duty to make sure you’re both … feeling well. I mean, your faces are really reddened. A closer inspection might be necessary.”
Is there really a bit of drool in the corner of his muzzle? Who’d built such a disgusting robot?!
But more importantly, Monokuma getting a good look at us both right now might have catastrophic consequences. One wrong move and the bite marks at Kaede’s neck, now carefully hidden behind her loosened hair, would be exposed.
Also, the thought of him touching Kaede …
“You will not touch her. One step closer and I will kill you.”
“What? I would never touch a student. That would totally destroy the sacred trust between teacher and student! After such a breach you would never again come to me, your trusted senpai, telling me all your dirty little secrets while crying and sitting on my knees.”
“We’d never do that,” we both answered in unison.
“I just wanted to get a better view, that’s all. Puhuhuh. But you’re breaking my heart. Maybe I should break a few of your bones in return? Threatening a teacher, what a bad girl you are.”
Well, it’s time for a gamble.
I hate it when that happens, when everything depends on chance. No assassin worth her salt likes to rely on fate. But I’m out of options.
“I’d be careful if I were you. We know that your cameras are down and I’m pretty sure that your communication also doesn’t work properly.”
A fair assumptions, given for one thing that Monotaro and Monosuke were somehow able the hide their blunder earlier that day and for another that even after my threat we’re not surrounded by those deadly Exisals which are patrolling the school at all times.
“You shouldn’t know about this! How … My Monokubs, am I right?
I should’ve eaten them right after birth. Always repeating the mistakes of your parents…”
“Who says we don’t have another source of information? Without the cameras, you’ll never know. But more importantly:
If you are having problems with your communication, maybe transferring into a new Monokuma unit isn’t as easy as you think? All information your momentary unit has collected could be lost.”
I try to show my best assassin glare.
“And you know who I am and what I am capable of. Do you think I can’t take on a lone Monokuma unit?”
And just to add a dash of over-the-top rhetoric …
“Do you feel lucky, bear?”
I’ve never really had to threaten my clients. Hopefully late night television is an adequate substitute for experience.
He seems to be taken aback for a second.
“You … you told her your secret?!”
That’s one reaction I did not predict.
“Yes.”
“So you know already that she’s an assassin?!”
Kaede too seems to be surprised.
“I know, yes.”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Now he looks actually furious.
“That was an important plot point! You can’t do this off camera. Everybody has to be there for the big reveal!
It was all planed out…
Shuichi, making one of his stupid shocked faces.
Kokichi, getting ready for a barrage of mean comments.
Rantaro … probably not doing much anymore at this stage.
All that sweet drama lost.
Now I’m too depressed to kill you anymore. Great work you two, I hope you both lose your pillow fight!”
With that he leaves, his curses still audible for the better part of a minute.
“Well, that worked. Somehow.”
Turning to Kaede I notice her reddening face. Her whole body is shaking.
“Is he gone? Because it is getting extremely difficult to control myself.
The … the fact that I’m holding your bra and you’re wearing a very tight shirt does not make it any easier, just so you know.”
My god, I did not imagine that her being so desperate could make her even more sexy, but here we are.
“Listen, Kaede, I know how you are feeling. But we have to leave quickly before Mono…”
“I KNOW!
Sorry, I mean I understand. Let’s just go to your room or mine, I REALLY do not care right now.
And with go I mean please carry me, because I need every ounce of concentration for refraining to jump you.”
I pick her up as gentle as possible, but as soon as she lies in my arms I recognize the flaws of this plan.
Her hot body is pressed against mine. With every movement of her skirt her scent is getting stronger.
This is going to be a pretty long walk for the both of us.
But if we try our best, I should be able …
“Maki?”
“Yes … Kaede?”
“I am so terrible sorry. Honestly.”
“What do you mean …”
I feel her tongue on my ear.
This feels entirely too nice.
But my willpower is not that easily broken, I will …
Then, with a soft giggle, she starts to nibble on my earlobe, one of her fangs tenderly piercing my skin.
Very interesting. The ecstasy of a vampire bite also works on other vampires. A very important discovery, indeed.

To my defense, at least we managed to reach one of the classrooms on the ground floor before I lose the last piece of clothing.
