Technically, this would count as possession (which is a valid form of MC, last I checked), via a technicality of what Cappy's mechanic is in Odyssey.
Also note that series-specific forms of MC are allowed, even if they aren't obvious without the series-specific knowledge (I.E.: Haigure is canonically MC in the original source material that spawned it, even if the pose itself isn't obviously MC.)
