General Site Rules

Be courteous and respectful to other members on the site. Opinions are welcome, but flaming, trolling, intolerant comments, or personal attacks on members will result in a warning or ban. You must be at least 18 to view this site, but we will assume you are underage and act accordingly if you act like a child. Please remember that this is a community, not a personal playground.

If you do not like a post for its content (i.e. scat or futanari), please blacklist the associated tags instead of commenting.

Do not "bump" posts.

The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason. If you have new information or new insight, or something new to say, that's fine. But avoid bumping old threads when you have nothing new to add.

For further information, please refer to the Rules of Conduct.

When uploading an image, make sure it does not fall under any of our Forbidden Content catergories below. Failure to comply may result in a ban. We also ask that you tag your images as best as possible when uploading. Please see our Tagging Guidelines and Tags Wiki for more info on how to tag an image and what tags we typically use. If you see an image that is improperly tagged, we ask that you fix them by clicking “Edit” underneath the image and adding the tags to the text box.

For uploading many images at once, please see our Bulk Posting Guidelines.

If you are not the original artist, please include a source link to any images you upload. This includes links to the original base image used in manips. Please credit original artists as best as you can. While it’s okay to not include a source or artist name if you don’t know it, actively claiming to own a work that is not yours may result in a ban.

Forbidden Content

If you find any images on this site that fall under one of the following categories, please flag it using the “Flag for moderation” link to the left of the image. The following content is not allowed on this site:

Child Pornography
Any real-life depictions of persons under 18 are not permitted. Failure to comply will result in a permanent ban.

Realistic Lolicon/Shotacon
Any depictions of an underaged character that attempts to mimic realistic human form are not permitted. Failure to comply will result in a ban. Lolicon and shotacon depictions are allowed if they are styled in the vein of anime or cartoons. If you are unsure if an image you would like to upload violates this rule, feel free to ask in the forums.

Non-Hypno/Mind Control Content
Any images that do not have clear signs of hypnosis or mind control are not permitted. Signs of hypnosis in drawn content may be relevant to the source media or non-canon. For example, the Celine Flower in To Love-Ru is permitted, despite needing knowledge of the source to recognize the mind control aspect.

Drawn or manipped content is also permitted even if the source is not depicting hypnosis or mind control. This includes screencaps of characters with empty eyes that normally do not have empty eyes, or a character swinging an object. These will be addressed on a case-by-case basis to determine if they are permissible.

Extreme Gore/Guro
Images of excessive blood and physical injury are not permitted. The definitions of “extreme” are at the sole discretion of the HypnoHub administration and will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Real Life Images
For real-life images, there must be an obvious sign of hypnosis or mind control. All real-life photos and images must come from a media source that pertains to hypnosis or mind control. A source link must be included in the source field of the post.

Real-Life Bestiality
Depictions of bestiality are only permitted for drawn images.

Real Photo Manips
Manips of real photos and images are not permitted.

Paysite Content
Images from sites with a paywall or with a commercial site watermark are not permitted. Artist or non-commercial watermarks (i.e. Deviantart) are permitted.

Traced Content
Images that are traced from another image are not allowed unless the tracing artist has permission to trace the image or sources the traced image. Any image revealed to be traced without permission or original image source will be deleted.

If an artist, commissioner, or anyone else related to the original source image of the trace requests the image that resulted from the trace be taken down, then the image will be deleted as requested.

Mass-Producible Images
Images made in character creators such as Kisekae or card generators are not permitted, with exception for additional manipping or drawing work done on the resulting image. This rule does not apply to 3D Custom Girl or Miku Miku Dance, as they have access to a large quantity of mods and customizations.

Solid-Color Empty Eye Manips
Manips that include empty eyes must have some sort of gradient or pattern to the eyes. Taking a flat color and painting it in over the eyes without some sort of shading is not permitted due to poor quality and inherent lazy manipping. Check out this image or the empty_eyes tag to see what is generally acceptable.

Excessive Artifacts
Images that have excessive jpeg artifacts or white pixels around lines are not permitted. These will be judged on a case-by-case basis depending on the severity of artifacting.

Blacklisted Artists/Do-Not-Post

This is a list of artists whose work may not be posted on hypnohub, due to their request.
Admin Note: Yuu-chan requested removal from DNP.

Avatar Rules and Guidelines

  • Avatars may only be made from images currently uploaded to HypnoHub. You may not upload a non-hypnosis/mind control image to use as an avatar. To set your avatar, click the “Set avatar” link under “Options” to the left of the image you wish to use.
  • Avatars made from images that are auto-blacklisted (loli, shota, or death) must be safe and not show anything considered explicit or even questionable. Be mindful of your avatar choice, as they are not protected by blacklists. Please respect other members on the site and avoid avatars that show often blacklisted tags.
  • Avatars that directly show scat, farting, urine, death, or unsafe loli/shota are not allowed. Images that include these tags may be used as avatars, but the avatar itself must not show these blacklisted parts.

Quality Control

While the intention of HypnoHub is to provide an open haven for hypnosis and mind control fans alike, we do have quality control guidelines in place. It is not our intention to be art snobs, but we encourage effort in creating hypnosis content.

Images may be subject to our quality control process:

1. A user flags an image they believe to be of poor quality. A staff member can remove a flagging they disagree with until it is discussed with other members of the staff.

2. The image will be sent to our selected Quality Control Council, who will vote on whether to let the image stay or have it deleted.

3. The administrators still reserve the right to save an image regardless of the QCC’s decision, although this is a rare case.

The following are examples of images that are often flagged for quality:

  • Text manips with little relation to what is portrayed in the image or has excessive grammar and spelling errors
  • Excessive anatomy issues or stick figure depictions
  • Crude manips or coloring is incomplete and doesn’t stay within borders
Art that is intentionally made to be bad may be removed without a QCC vote.

Please flag images you feel may not fit our quality guidelines. The worst that can happen is the administrators remove the flag.
