So here's a question regarding pstash. Since ya'll have deleted/banned/whatever his images, that mean we have to change the images or a few pixels to get it past whatever autodelete things you folks have in place?

More or less yeah. Changing a single pixel by a single value is enough though, no need to change the image itself in any other way.

If I might ask, why is this? Shouldn't you just be able to lift the ban on his images or even reinstate his old art via the version that the autodelete is using as reference?

we used to be able to do that on the old hub but not anymore on the new hub.
So like detour says, you change a pixel or its never getting uploaded.

We're not able to undelete images no, site admins can but afaik that only applies to images that haven't been 'properly' deleted yet.

The image hashes (what's used to check for duplicate uploads) best I can tell work in a different way and might not be able to be deleted without excessive amounts of work.

Hashing the images makes sense for memory space, but there really ought to be a system for removing them. The obvious way of doing it would be to have a method of a moderator looking at the autodeleted entry and saying that it shouldn't have been deleted and to have the corresponding hash value removed from the auto delete list. It is an easy fix if you have any control over the sites functionality. That being said, I am not sure you do. Having to use workarounds like changing pixels is typically considered poor practice.

Unfortunately not. Otherwise I would've done so months ago.

Alright. Last couple of questions from me and then I'll drop it. Do you know what algorithm is being used for hashing? Does the hasher document what post went with what hash when it gets deleted? Do you have access to the cache of image hashes? Does the auto delete put it in the "Can be restored by admin" box or does it fully delete it? If the answer to a couple of those is true, this is still an incredibly easy fix.

Other than the hashing algorithm using md5 the answer to all of those questions is that I don't know.

It has caught to my attention that Pstash had somewhat of a restriction of what art should be uploaded here.

I talked to the moderator about it, and they seems to only allow posts that has been uploaded on Twitter (@pstash and @souldroids) and commission/request arts. Everything else that wasn't outside of those (example, the ones only on the Discord chatroom) was banned.

Still not sure about the old arts though, so for now I will restrict most of my planned uploads of their old stuff for now until it was considered a-ok.

UPDATE: Pstash allowed old stuff to be in the site despite not fondly at their quality.

The artist Hypno_harry would like to be put on the DNP list and have their art removed. If they decide to have any of their art here, they want to be the one to upload it. I've updated the list and flagged their art for deletion.
