Favorite hypno/mind control scenes in movies?
Kinda surprised this hasn't popped up, but I'll give a whirl. Anyway, topic is pretty self explanatory.

A personal favorite of mine comes from an independent movie called Upstream Color. The way the hypno scene plays out is pretty odd: A woman named Kris is forced to ingest a parasite that pretty much turns her into a willing zombie. From there, the person controlling her puts her through a series of odd suggestions, like chaining pieces of papers together, hallucinations and a few more. She also has some pretty nice blank expressions going on. Nothing sexual happens, but I thought it was really well done.

Anyone got anything else to add?

I know this isn't exactly MC, but for me <<www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8N72t7aScY&feature=kp | Hal 9000's deactivation>> in 2001: A space odyssey is the first and best that springs to mind when it comes to movies.

If you expand it beyond movies, then yes. Otherwise, I'll just say The Jungle Book.

I also went absolutely crazy over Ash's mom getting hypnotized in Pokemon 3 when I was a kid. Her rigid posture at the beginning, those empty eyes, her spaced-out voice, and then the faint. Little me nearly jizzed in the theater.

To talk beyond the bleedingly obvious (and already mentioned above anyway), there was a neat little instance in the made-for-TV Scooby Doo movie from the 80s, "Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School," which involved Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy ending up as teachers/caretakers of this school for daughters of famous movie monsters (so dracula's daughter, wolfman's daughter, etc), and the climax involved this witch who wanted to mind control the girls and then transform them into versions of herself. Surprisingly hot, in the vein of other famous Scooby Doo bits.

Including the lines they kept repeating, "I obey only Revoltra"

First of all, thank you for reminding me I need to watch Upstream Color. Just reading a few of the quotes on IMDb got me, uh... interested.

Until then, I enjoyed the shit out of <<www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebTa5sTOFLA&t=1m18s|a certain scene>> in The Eye of the Devil. As with most examples ITT, it's nothing overtly sexual, but I'd venture to say that the sultry line delivery makes it the closest the thread has come to it thus far...

Well I have to give honorary mentions to svengali and trilby. However, for my pick I'll go with Uma Thurman drugged and brainwashed, who makes it to bed, before sadly getting interrupted

Not exactly what this thread is about, but I'd rather not start a new one when something so similar already exists.
Anyway, I've recently watched a bunch of John Carpenter's movies, and noticed there's a fair share of MC elements in them (kind-of-corruption in The Thing, possession in Prince of Darkness, subliminal messages in They Live!, some manner of magic-induced trance in Big Trouble in Little China, the "I was written this way, I can't help it" thing in In the Mouth of Madness). I've yet to sample the rest of his work, but if five movies out of six that I've watched can be considered to have MC in some shape, mayhaps some of the others will not disappoint either...

He remade Village of the Damned, for an obvious one. Ghosts of Mars predictably has possession, but its about as sexy as you might imagine from the screenshots.

On to iffier examples: Escape from L.A. has the president's daughter briefly shown to be brainwashed into an act of hijacking due to a terrorist communicating to her through her dreams, but it's portrayed as the basic red-scare style "corruption of the youth" rather than actual mind control.

There was something that could be very mildly interesting in Dark Star, wherein one of the (all male) characters is transformed into a phoenix asteroid, while he exclaims in wonder and awe in regards to his new life. It's portrayed as "enlightenment" more than mind control, but could be twisted into the latter by a creative mind...

Also, Halloween IV has a normal little girl turn into an emotionless killer (possession? Trigger?) in the finale, but John Carpenter had nothing to do with that :P .

Disney's Sleeping Beauty had an eerie scene before the prickling. Aurora is sorta magically controlled/enchanted and gets sleepwalky.

It' nice, give it a second watch.

Nurse Joy from the first Pokemon movie and Delia Ketchum from the third one spring to mind.

Best Nurse Joy part for me was when Mewtwo started speaking through her. The close up of Nurse Joy with one of her blank eyes in closeup, the monotone voice, it's a good scene.

The beginning of Delia getting hypnotized by Entei was the highlight. The voice, the posture and the empty eyes that change colour to complete the hypnosis.

it's surprisingly hard to think of one.... so Big Trouble in Little China - both the women are MC's by magic to become brides of Lo Pan - relatively sexy

honorable mentions:
possessed Dana Barett in ghostbusters 1
love potion #9 - basically the whole plot
