Mind-control scenes in live-action movies and series
Uh... I - I don't know why no one has started a thread like this yet. Is this all right?

It's just that... We've got <<hypnohub.net/forum/show/7116|video games>>, we've got <<hypnohub.net/forum/show/15613|anime and cartoons>>, and we've even got <<hypnohub.net/forum/show/62259|books n shit>>. So why not have a live-action thread as well ? By "live-action", I mostly mean "professional" works, as in, works whose focus are not directly MC-related fetishes (although having a creator also be a hypnofetishist makes things easier, of course...). So, for example, an inducing video made by a dom, for me, is off-topic. Mostly, what I'm looking for is mind-control scenes in more mainstream movies and series.

Couple of things. I'm aware that a lot of you probably know quite a few scenes already, and it might seem obvious to post them here, and also that a few repositories, namely <<mental-block.wikia.com/wiki/Mental_Block_Wiki|Mental Block Wiki>> and <<jamesfantastic.wordpress.com|James' blog>> already exist, but to me, that's precisely the point. Wouldn't it make things much easier for everyone to have a central place to list live-action scenes you know of, so that newcomers can see them quickly ? Hell, I dare say even the most rugged hypnofetishists might discover new things on a thread like this !

With that in mind, let me post a couple of scenes I recall off the top of my head right here, and maybe someone'll be kind enough to keep the wheels turning :

-A well-known scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron (I doubt anyone here hasn't seen it, but I'm posting it just in case) involves Dr. Helen Cho getting MC'ed by Ultron via Loki's scepter. It's worth noting that the movie also features Scarlet Witch and her own brand of manipulation, though in a much more subdued manner ;
-Season 1 of Netflix Marvel series Jessica Jones features quite a bit of mind-control through the main antagonist Kilgrave, though this is less fetish-fuel and quite a bit more WHAT THE FUCK OH GAWD GET ME OUTTA HERE-fuel ;
-Speaking of Marvel series, Agents of SHIELD has two very different moments. The first is when HYDRA captures and brainwashes Agent 33 (and a few others) through what is known as "the Faustus device", the second is a whole plotline involving a parasite called "Hive" who possesses Ward's (dead) body and places several Inhumans under its control, including Daisy ;
-A pretty bad movie called "Candy Stripers" involves a parasitic invasion of nurses in a hospital. It's as cheesy, bland and clichéd as it sounds, but pretty good for those into that.
-A fuckton of movies feature Dracula and his hypnotic powers. Not all of them are good (actually, most of them suck), but there's some worth checking out. I'd start with Christopher Lee.
-While we're on the subject of Christopher Lee, he also stars in a sixties retelling of Rasputin's story, "Rasputin the Mad Monk", in which he has hypnotic powers which he uses to take control of the Russian court.
-Speaking of old movies, quite a few films based off a 19th-century novel feature a hypnotist named Svengali who seduces and controls a girl named Trilby, forcing her to be a singer for his personal gain. The best of these movies is probably the 1931 version, though all of them are watchable, and a few are classics.

That's all that comes to mind immediately, but it's mostly just to get the train going. Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules here !

I made a thread devoted to films a long, long time ago. Appears to have been lost to time, I suppose.

Oh ? I searched for "films" in the forums and couldn't find it. That said, if it's been forgotten, I can't say I have much faith for this one either.

Try "Movies" and see if it comes up. "Live action" might work too.

I never knew the name of this film...but I remember a scene in which one woman controlled another, kissed her feet, hit her in the face and was about to kiss her.

Yup, you are correct. <<hypnohub.net/forum/show/11422|Here>> it is. Contains some cool little movies I didn't know about, or had forgotten, as well. Upstream Color is a good one.

I'm upset that movie is no longer on Netflix, tbh.

(also thank you for finding this relic!)

Yeah I agree, it's a great mainstream serious look at how mind-control would realistically be used.

Whelp, I'll double-post here and continue my own thread, since I don't consider it gone until it's disappeared from the front page.

In the February episodes of the Flash' most recent season (season 4), the villain called "The Thinker" has the ability to body-jack people, and uses it on different characters, including two women. This occurs in episode 13 and 14. Downloading them right now.

Another sad proof that the search function and the forum here simply doesn't cut it anymore. Instead of having these threads stickied in a MC media subforum, we struggle to find and use them, creating dozens of small topics which could have been avoided.

I agree with your assessment, though I feel it would honestly not be that difficult to solve this by just updating the "Important Thread Directory" more frequently.

Not a bad idea to me but I honestly don't think enthusiasm for this site is ever going be that high as to encourage such a level diligence in maintenance.

Well, we all know, that the site is gonna be run "as is" with no real improvements until eventually people leave or Slayerduck just drops the site. Also means that there is a point when the community will stop growing and decline, because other image boards offer way more and better media types like APNG, MP4 etc as well as better forum software.

That's like a Band Aid put over a gaping wound. It honestly isn't worth the effort, because it makes you open another thread, then search through an ever growing list of topics mentioned, instead of making the intuitive directory focused navigation and finding whatever you wanted to find naturally.
It's really a pity. The amount of things creators could do if software empowers them is limitless. For me, it was fine 5 Years ago when I was starting out on Hypnobooru, but my work has evolved beyond that and I am forced to outsource it to other pages or drop the quality by a huge margin. The same goes for the Bulletin Board (if you can call it that) we are using. Think of how much it would help new creators if we could just make a directory with guides for manipping and helping people for example ...

But I am getting sidetracked here. Next thing you know a mod comes around and closes the thread for being offtopic -_-

More scenes I recalled/redownloaded recently :

-In the obscure series called "Relic Hunter", episodes 10 and 11 of season 3, respectively called "All Choked Up" and "Warlock of Nu Theta Phi", feature MC scenes. Episode 10 has the main female protagonist getting enthralled via an old jeweled collar, episode 11 has the blonde secretary/assistant getting Jedi mind-tricked by the villain-of-the-week to hand over a McGuffin.

-The 2006 Canadian movie "5ive Girls", starring Ron Perlman (probably when he was really desperate), centers around an all-girls school in which the principal attempts to offer the students' bodies as sacrificial vessels to the biblical demon called Legion, in order for him to bring her daughter back to life (All five girls - except the main character - and the principal, end up possessed at one point or another).

-Buffy the Vampire Slayer, being all about, well, vampires, contains some pretty good examples (although surprisingly not always related to hypno-eyes). Episode 21 of season 2 features relatively minor character Kendra getting mesmerized and then killed by a villainess. Episode 12 of season 2 is about a parasitic egg invasion. Possibly the most well-known (and repulsive) example, though, is in episode 13 of season 6, wherein the geeky, sexist, secondary antagonist gang uses a hypnotic device to make their leaders' ex-girlfriend into a slave.

That's all for now, but I'll continue updating this.

Oh hey, I just noticed you mentioned me...I am humbled. And looking at this now for scenes I could cover. Svengali is like the best movie ever, but anyway...

You're right, there's no central place for someone to become aware of hypno/mc scenes in stuff. In a perfect world I think it would be the Mental Block Wiki, but alas. It feels we're spread too thin and there are so many minor (and major) fetishy scenes everywhere that it'd be tough to maintain a proper large catalogue, even limiting it to just live action.

Even the MBW which I'm really proud of, is about 75% well known stuff. Well known to us, anyway.

There's some really ancient sites I remember for mainly live action movie hypno. <<www.hypno-movies.com/|Hypno-movies, anyone?>>

It seems live-action themed threads/posts don't tend to be on popular here. Couldn't tell you why, though that is the kind of question I like to investigate.

Good luck with the thread though!
