A chain around the neck worn as jewelry. Often has a centerpiece pendant. Variants include pearl necklaces (pearls lined by a string) and flower necklaces (necklace woven by flowers).
If the accessory is a loose band, it is a collar instead.
If the accessory is a thin band that fits tightly on the neck, it is a choker instead.
