That’s my bad. I’ve really never heard the word used outside of some uhhhh... saucy entries in my search history. I thought it was okay because it’s a tag but I’ll refrain from using it in the future.
Anonimity said: And yet it's still a tag. I get why, as "trap" implies that the goal is to trick other men into having sex they otherwise wouldn't, but is there a better word? "Femboy" is pretty common, but again, it sounds kind of transphobic. If a ftm person looks more feminine but doesn't identify as such, calling them a feminine boy seems insensitive.
Uh... whatever the case, trap isn't the one to be using. Could we get that tag changed to something else, mods?
as much as I tend to advocate for very specific instances in which trap is okay, namely in kink and with people who consent to letting people call them such, I have never seen anyone get upset over "femboy" and it's generally the safer term.
also, femme-presenting FTMs do exist, their gender identity as male and presentation as feminine ARE valid, and in general people should stop trying to assume terms are offensive or not and just ask first.

I've actually looked up the perceived definition of such words and I think I can clarify. Since it is possibly a slur I believe the "T Word" is a word regarding a man or woman who crossdresses. However a Femboy has nothing to do with how one dresses, it is defined as someone who identifies as a man but doesn't act traditionally masculine. Hope that clears things up and sorry for spawning some kind of drama, I'm really only here to write stuff that people can jack it to.

-I know, just referring to those who don't present feminine. -Which is tough to do when posting something anyone can see, hence the question of which to default to. I'll just keep using femboy from now on if it's generally safer.

Seeing as this is a sensitive topic, I ask to please not continue discussing the tag on this post. This is not with the intention to completely shut down the discussion, but to instead carry it over to an appropriate thread like the Official Tags thread, so long as things are kept civil. At the moment, staff do not have any plans to replace the tag with femboy as the two aren’t quite the same thing.

For future reference, to tag a new artist, it's art:name, not name_(art)
Thanks I’ve been trying to figure that out for like a month now
