Didn't get this 'chapter' of the story even halfway finished, but maybe I'll get some brownie points for having my submission star...well, May. :-) Also, considering the other character involved, it could be a belated Mother's Day tribute.
This takes place a little ways into my 'Stolen Starhearts' project story-wise, so If you're a bit confused as to what's going on, here's an exposition dump. The basic gist of the Stolen Starhearts is that a cosmic entity travels to various sexually-repressed gaming worlds and 'liberates' certain lovely game characters - it'm more elaborate than that, but it'll do for now. Pokemon is the first world visited - the events take place ten-odd years after the game stories, so characters like Misty and May are in their early twenties. The entity recruits Misty and Erika as the leaders of Team Starlight and Team Moonlight, respectively - whichever team recruits the most members will earn the cosmic spirit's favor. Being a Starheart gives these girls a number of magical powers, the most important of which being that they can use any Pokemon move / attack at will. Up to this point, Misty has recruited May, Dahlia, Johanna, and Dawn for Team Starlight. May spent her late teens as a bratty wild child, squandering her fame and confidence before retreating into the shadows; now that she's a member of the Starhearts, she's eager to win back everyone's love. During the height of her contest fame, Johanna posed for a number of pinup-style promotional photos, one of which became a hugely-successful wall poster; this is her first time back in the spotlight since that time.
